  1. Assuming FIFA expand the tournament to 64 teams, expect it'd become unusual not to qualify.
  2. Yeutembip started for England U16 in a 1-1 draw against USA in Florida this evening. I think he might actually have been Captain. Wasn't the only Newcastle player either. Jayden Kouossu scored the goal for England on his youth international debut.
  3. Feels like people have been saying that all season and yet there Spurs are in the relegation zone
  4. The group stage was previously capable of actually being interesting. Germany failed to get out of the last two. Spain, France and Portugal have all been eliminated at that stage recently. Costa Rica and Uruguay finished above Italy and England in 2014. Even Argentina failed in 2002. Doubt you'll get the same jeopardy for stronger nations with a potential group of death anymore in a bloated 64 team tournament. It'll be more predictable and essentially an extension of qualifying I'd expect. Bit like the Champions League is now where you'll be waiting for the knockout round to start for the tournament to really get interesting imo.
  5. At least the potential play-off would be a home game.
  6. Apparently Charlie Robinson scored again today! Not sure he wasn't Captain actually.
  7. So that's why Zirkzee is starting up front.

I wonder how long it'll be before a non European/South American team wins the (Men's) World Cup.
  11. Which was shared until 1983. Liverpool one of the main clubs that ended it.
