  1. I’m mixed on this she wanted the Saudi wealth to take us to next level. Would a Staveley buyout without it just be akin to Kenyon/DeGrosa etc. Don’t get me wrong though obviously preferable to Ashley.
  2. You literally said she’d buy the club with the Ruebens in a leverage buy out akin to Burnley You are a mad man there isn’t a chance Staveley & Ruebens will buy the club without PIF if they wanted to they’d have done so by now You’re absolutely wrong Staveley attempted to buy the club in the May prior and thought she could. This was an attempt to keep Benitez before he left, the Saudi’s only came on board in the November. She will own the club regardless. The price will be at a reduced level and I’ll gladly accept you’re apology in a couple of months when i’m right. She had backers then too wasn’t just her and ruebens. f*** all apology due Did she who were they ? That’s guesswork on you’re part I’m afraid. We’ll both know who’ll be right in a few months and that will be enough for me ? Can’t find the interview with caulkin after she provided proof of 3 bids but I’m sure (but maybe wrong) it said she had investors and in subsequent caulkin articles he mentions investors. At no point was she buying the club herself I’ll help you out the initial attempt had the backing of Chinese investors, however in the May when Rafa left it’s unknown where the funding was coming from. She’s keen to have Saudi backing as it takes us to next level, however she was happy to go ahead in the May if it had gone ahead. Which makes you’re argument redundant. So if you’re going to attempt to call people out, you really need to know you’re facts. Total guesswork she doesn’t have the money to do it herself. You are the most deluded poster I’ve ever seen. I’ll make it simple for you. It didn’t go ahead in May because it was never going to because she didn’t have the backing I have more reasoned discussions with my 10 year old Wrong she ideally wants serious wealth behind it to take us to the next level. PCP are basically an investment fund and she absolutely could go ahead and do a leveraged buy out akin to Burnley. Sorry but at no point there have I said she’d use money from court case, hence a leveraged buy out. In all probability though PCP would finance it alongside other backers.
  3. That’s not true though is it, who brought Mansour to the table for the first Barclays bail out. Did she earn 300 million for fuck all ? https://www.euromoney.com/article/b12kjth9h0p0xf/revealed-the-truth-about-barclays-and-the-abu-dhabi-investment
  4. Oh dear Excellent she can concentrate on the takeover now. Full steam ahead !! Not sure that’s how she’ll see it. I’m gutted tho I was told on here she was gonna buy the club outright with the Ruebens, I guess that’s off the table now If she buys the club with Reubens it will be alongside other investors as per her pre Saudi attempts. I can’t speak for others on here, but at no point have I said she’d be reliant or use the winnings from her court case to buy club. So sorry to disappoint but PCP buying the club alongside other investors as I alluded to the other day, is most definitely not off the table.

  6. Just wait until the report is released they’ll be calling on the admin to shut this thread down again. It’s the usual suspects who just have to tell folk it’s not happening. What I can never understand is these folk keep returning to check what’s happening, after telling everyone it’s over a few days earlier. They can call us deluded all they like but the fact remains, anyone checking for progress on something they’re adamant is over is far more unstable my book. This thread is for the lads who live life with a glass half full, and stay true to their convictions. Project zebra ? is still alive and kicking.
  7. If the Premier League see the state as running the club and Biden sees King Salman as his equivalent.....it certainly could muddy the waters even further for Shaheed Fatima to exploit in any separation argument. The fact the PL allegedly did not seek any expert/outside advice on this matter either, hopefully comes back to haunt them.
  8. This line up with the exception of Dummett and Fernandez for Clark and Lewis. As Steve has never had the chance to play Fraser and ASM together, I’d expect them both in the line up to....unless he’s forgotten he said that, in which case expect the midfield work horse that is Jonjo Shelvey to be included.
  9. What a way to end the week. An absolute honour to pick up an award in my 1st year posting, apologies to Penn as I feel I have stolen this on a technicality. However, rest assured all those who voted for me, I’ll be doing my upmost this year to retain the title. ??⚫️⚪️????????
  10. It's over Kidda, give up man FFS. Wow...new member contribution.....better do as he says Whitley! Yeah very enlightening Jinky. I think I’ll wait to the main protagonists tell us it’s over, not sure about you ? ? Like you, I’m still convinced the takeover will happen...not sure when though......I’ll only give in when we’re in league 1, with Bruce still informing us that he’s happy with their 2nd half performance? I’m still absolutely unshakeable in my belief it’s happening. They’ll either consign us to the nut house Jinky, or we’ll be proven correct in the end. I’m very sure it’ll be the latter though.
  11. I’ll tell you exactly what’s going to happen, the same as went on nearly every week last year.....people flip flopping at any bit of negative news declaring it’s off, then a week later saying they’re back in again. I’ll piss off back to the positive thread now, speak soon chaps.

  13. f*** sake man. Wake up. It’s not bed wetting It pretty much proves MBS & PIF are far from separate which is the very specific reason Masters gave for the takeover not going thru. You don’t get it or just refuse to get it. It’s got very little to do with the US, oil money or even the murder itself, the PL have accused MBS of being a shadow director and said he must take the O&D test which he simply won’t If piracy is not an issue and legal cases are dropped, where does it say in the test that the Saudi state cannot own the club ? I honestly don’t see how they can clear up the separation issue and it certainly looks like the PL have a very strong case in their belief that MBS & PIF are not seperate If the legal cases are dropped re piracy, i really don’t think they will go to the expense of fighting this on separation. If there’s nothing in the test to say the state can’t own the club, they would have to insist that MBS in particular was a named director as they believe he is running the show. However, could it not be argued in that case then ultimately King Salman is running the show. Where do you draw the line on shadow directors, I believe this issue of separation will just fade away once piracy is sorted. If piracy isn’t sorted I’m more than confident that Shaheed Fatima can make this much less straightforward than you’re analysis of separation suggests.

  15. Can't remember what it was exactly, but only a week ago there was already talk of relations cooling between US and SA. Some sort of trade agreement had been torn up, or something. Might have been arms trade, but it is definitely a sign that things are changing. Can't find any of the reports now, like. The US is reliant on Saudi oil not a chance. They’ve halted arms deals that’s about it. There is no way the U.K. will follow suit after brexit, not a chance. This will blow over as everything else has it’s a non event.
  16. What’s the fuss about has the land of the free stopped importing Saudi oil based on this intelligence report. Has Boris called an emergency cabinet meeting to stop all dealings with Saudi Arabia. Is there going to be an international conviction of MBS based of this report ? This thread will die when Mandy says it’s over and Jink Jim says no mas. Nothing has changed despite lot of bed wetting yet again, people blow with the wind in this place, hold you’re nerve keep calm and carry on.
  17. MBS will never be a named director so unlikely to ever have an impact. Also US intelligence said the Iraqi’s had nuclear weapons, whether you believe this is true or not, it’s not a conviction in an international court of law.
  18. Absolutely, this article particularly the part in relation to Dave Howe tells you all you need to know about who is running the show. https://www.nytimes.com/2020/02/09/sports/soccer/premier-league-ceo.html
  19. Burnley owners did not pirate premier league games. Neither did PIF.
  20. An absolute disgrace how a takeover such as this was allowed. Very telling that a certain CEO at Burnley was on the panel that appointed Masters. The stench of the PL board will soon be exposed, it’s all the more ammunition to show how the test is an absolute farce, and being applied conveniently when suits.
  21. There does appear some outs for a QC in there if they didn’t want to take a case. However, you’d have to consider what’s more important to De Marco, his reputation if he thought there was no chance, or paying for his new pad in Brighton.
  22. Well that's not true, barristers have no choice but to take on a case if instructed, there are only very limited circumstances where they can refuse and feeling they can't win is not one of them. Surely when you’re as high profile as De Marco though you would just say look Mike you’ve got no chance here. I can’t imagine Mike paying huge fees to a QC who has told him I don’t like you’re chances ?
  23. Undoubtedly the club could burn for me if the takeover doesn’t go through. This is a good point made by Keith though, I think we have to be extremely confident in the legal argument club has.
