  1. For him to have any chance next season he needs to be ruthless this summer. With SCR even if we sell Gordon and Tonali, I still think it’ll be a one in and one out policy. I’m already seeing murmurs that we might keep Schar, we’re crying out for a new CB in my opinion, if we keep Schar that’s 4 CB’s and no chance a new one is coming in. The likes of Willock and Murphy should be gone this summer, under Eddie can anyone confidently predict Murphy won’t be on that team sheet come August? Club insiders have already riled against a huge rebuild being required this summer, doesn’t take a genius to know where that comes from. Get this summer wrong and we’ll be in a relegation battle next season, the squad is lacking massively in quality and hunger.
  2. Corrected for you.
  3. Be interesting to see if they kick on, clearly got a good manager and DOF who is all over the European leagues. If you’re a young player in the French league say and can play in the Europa League under Le Bris, it could get even more embarrassing for us this summer if we’re shopping in a similar market for players. Could just as easily see them getting relegated next season with the extra games, but their recruitment is next level to ours, so wouldn’t be surprised to see them do well again.
  4. Hot day and players disinterested as on the beach already. Not the recipe for Howe to produce a high intensity, run the opposition into the ground performance. Anyone thinking this changes next season is off their tits. He hasn’t got the will, ability, or coaching staff to evolve us into a technical, possession based team Gone after 10 games is my prediction and we’ll be picking over the dregs left available to replace him. This called for a positive intervention and giving him the summer will go down as a huge error of judgement.
  5. 70 million minimum, he’s got years left on his contract.
  6. 3 good options to replace Gordon with Nusa, Banzouma Toure and this lad from Lille. I was big on Nusa but don’t think he’s had the best season, the lad from Lille looks a real talent and might be the best of 3.
  7. Nice images of Leazes Terrace and would be very unique, but agree with @TheBrownBottle this is with a view to a new stadium. There’s NDA’s in place en masse at Newcastle CC regarding this and would point people to the below, which will be used to help push through the development. Mayor Kim said: “Like many local people, I get frustrated about developments taking far too long to deliver which means we don’t fully feel the benefit of schemes as quickly as we should. This needs to change. The creation of our new Mayoral Development Zone will help to bring in major new investment and quicken development of local schemes so that we can get on with delivering our vision and bold plans to transform the North East. “We want to boost jobs, attract new business and bring in major private sector investment to support the work we’re already doing to grow our high streets, business parks and our rural and coastal areas. We want to create better places for people to live and thrive, and this initiative will accelerate our ability to do this. “I am confident the creation of the new Mayoral Development Zone will radically speed up the pace of development and can assure people that there will be real visible change in the coming years.”
  8. Massively improves the whole look of the area.
  9. I think Fernandes will go for big money, very good player and would have him here.
  10. Even when we had Isak we were still crying out for something different against teams playing a low block at SJP. This bloke is different and unless we can get our money back, or a really compelling alternative emerges we need to stick.
  11. There’s a good winger at Hoffenhein this season who has been tearing it up as well.
  12. We could have cleaned up this talent last summer with 250 million to spend and still had change. Much harder sell this summer with no European football and less funds unfortunately.
  13. Wilson conducted an FM rebuild at Forrest, it’s not outlandish to suggest we need one after seasons of no significant trading and ageing squad. It might be out of Howe’s control and I wouldn’t be surprised to see a minimum of 6 arrive this summer.
  14. We need an upgrade on the right side this summer, yes dressing room dynamics are important but if it’s one in and one out Murphy goes for me. Out of contract next summer as well, we need to trade better and if there’s a market for him this summer sell.
  15. Maybe not Isak levels yet but he’s definitely bailed out once the CL campaign was over. Our best winger by a distance, but big question marks over his mentality and temperament. Would rather see the Korean lad get a cameo today than see this selfish prick get any minutes.
  16. Actually think the real one on Wolt looks canny. Much like the barcode one in the 90’s it’ll probably grow on people over time.
  17. Awful, empty seats and place was half empty for Abide with me.
  18. Tiago Gabriel, Palestra and Methalie would be 3 to watch if those you mention all go.
  19. As much as I want Spurs down, it’s important the season ends on the right note at home. I want to see some improvement with Bruno back and more time on the training pitch. A big performance from Woltemade would do him wonders, or more signs that Osula could have a real future here. Getting beat by a team fighting relegation at home would only sow more seeds of doubt going into the summer. Without Gordon tomorrow I look at their wide players and think how the fuck are they better than ours.
  20. Massive blow losing Gordon, we literally look like a team fighting relegation at the moment. We failed to fix the right side of attack last summer, now the left side and striker position have huge question marks. I actually think we’re in a bit of a perilous situation and it’s not beyond the realms we could mirror Spurs next season, unless they pull something out the bag this summer.
  21. I’d imagine this seasons shit show has massively impacted sponsorship negotiations, no European football and the club appears stale as fuck, with little excitement around it at the moment.
  22. Unfortunately the Blaydon Races is butchered on the rare occasions it gets an airing. Our support has become generic and lost a lot of it’s identity. We can’t even muster Howay The Lads much these days ffs.
