  1. Yep. That was really really good. Think everyone should listen to that for some insights into this takeover and previous ones that didn’t quite make. Interesting that BZG pulled out because they felt it was an insult to have to pay a non-refundable deposit to Ashley, along with a number of other insults they felt Ashley dealt them. Also, rumours that the new owners have already bought the freehold for SJP. (Some leaks from the city council) And that PIF/PCP etc had been told around June 1st by the PL that they were going to pass the takeover but on the proviso that they make efforts to sort the piracy. PIF apparently felt that this meant the deal was done. Well worth a listen, whatever you think of Wraith and Mitch. Agree completely I have no problem with the dentist, he openly admits he’s a gobshite and Hastie comes across as very genuine bloke. Found it very interesting that as recent as January they were meeting with midhat, and sheik khaled was at 65% about getting involved in another attempt to buy club. Also if BZG had taken over we would have become the club of Dubai, with even more prominent people involved, I'm assuming they were suggesting the Maktoum’s. However, once they had it confirmed PIF were interested they couldn’t compete. Like LV says well worth a listen if your in to this shit.
  2. This was a really good listen tonight, some very interesting craic re BZG and previous Canadian takeover attempts.
  3. Quite the opposite my confidence is growing by the day think where very close. The Saudi announcement re intellectual property today feels significant. Everything feels significant, until it’s not. So many events looked like being the catalyst to spark the final push, then it just fizzles out time again. If we’re not careful it’ll end up being a documentary on Netflix. It has but yesterday’s announcement was being advertised as having been approved by King Salman and MBS, they’re making a very public show of addressing this now. Also if you tie this in with golf mags information last week of the governor of PIF meeting PL and govt, this does feel very significant to me. The lengths they are going to for approval certainly look good for our future, these fu#%ers mean business exciting times ahead me thinks.

  5. They’ve clearly changed the rules since they allowed City and Chelsea to join the party.
  6. Rolling over and getting our tummies tickled by the top 6, pundits waxing lyrical about City. This is what the Premier Leagues all about, why the f#%k would the premier league want to approve this takeover and upset the apple cart. For anyone sick of the takeover and claiming they don’t care anymore, this is the reality and rams home more than ever this really is our last fu#%ing chance.
  7. He’s getting plenty of replies from our lot after that tweet. Doesn’t look like the blacklisted 20 yesterday is going to slow down business.
  8. Not a negative article really. Disagree think he spins it very negatively, no mention that no one from Pif is implicated. Joe Kinnear had him sussed years ago, he’s a grade A cnut.
  9. First out of the traps.....Simon Bird who would have guessed. https://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/football/news/senior-advisors-saudi-crown-prince-22311611
  10. Think a lot of people have received abuse when posting info, even a respected journalist like Caulkin, who’s intentions are genuine and well intentioned. Your information is interesting and appreciated by the majority, as it again seems well intentioned. This takeover process has tuned a lot of people into aggressive loons.
  11. Word spreads fast or it’s common knowledge. https://twitter.com/GustavoMetral/status/1279511093686255616
  12. Nope it was some character responsible for the e mails, Al Qasabi I think. He’s an acting govt minister and on PIF board.
  13. How come the chairman of PIF is able to fly in to the U.K. and none you f***ing geeks noticed ? Edit broonlass you might have been on to something on Thursday.
  14. Shame Luke Edwards didn’t know that, he’d investigated the Mauriss link for weeks before breaking his story.
  15. I would agree the fact the SNP Politician is ignoring all questions relating to his pantomime performance during the week, would testify that cash for questions is alive and well. However, it’s important where all clued up where a lot of these stories re the takeover are coming from and who’s behind them. As a fan base we’ve been accused of being paranoid at times over this, however the above article would suggest where far from that.
  16. This part in particular rings very true when looking at what’s happened recently with SNP and journalists. ‘This allegedly involved recruiting prominent figures to criticise the bids in their own countries, thus giving the impression they lacked support at home‘. ‘Authorities are said to have recruited journalists and bloggers to promote negative stories in the states, Australian and international media, and organising grassroots protests at rugby matches in Australia. ‘The leaked documents also revealed that a group of American PE teachers had been recruited to ask congressmen to oppose a US World Cup on the grounds the money would be better spent on high school sports’.
  17. Their corrupt alright and if you have any doubts over the lengths they’ll go to. https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-6003677/Qatar-World-Cup-bid-team-accused-sabotage-plot-against-2022-rivals.html
  18. I'm pretty sure he's already aware. You would think so but the fact they appear to have been calling the shots for 13 weeks would suggest despite being unscrupulous they carry a lot of influence. Though that credibility is purely down to the 500 million at stake, the fact remains the PL are allowing themselves to be held over a barrel by a people accused of bribery and corruption.
  19. Not sure if this story has any impact overall, but surely it highlights to Masters and co the unscrupulous nature of the Qatari’s. They do seem a special bunch capable of bribery at the highest level to get their way.
  20. He’s a Bein pundit f*** me, they've got some diabolical pundits. Surprised they haven't got Pardew on board yet tbh, if that's the standard. Keysey and Gray love your old skool British dinosaurs like big Sam and Reidy. Jobs for the boys.
  21. I think the Staveley trial might have more clout with the FA with Barclays calling her investment firm "not credible". Could well see the PL holding back to see what comes out of the trial before making a decision seeing as they are the proposed investors in NUFC. Highly unlikely and that case may not conclude until October. I think you can dismiss the defence calling her firm as not credible, as purely a tactic to undermine her claim.
  22. Some of his quotes in that article don’t even make sense, just sounds like a ramble prompted by his friends at bein. Undoubtedly got an envelope for his trouble.
  23. Just more Craig Hope shit stirring he’s got a reputation for it.
  24. By all accounts now the consortium are back answering questions re the takeover, it certainly seems like that the communication issued last week from Saudi Arabia has caused a further delay. It seems like the acting Saudi minister Al Qasabi dropped a clanger by saying all anyone had to do was e mail them. I don’t think this will have undone all the measures they seem to be putting in place, but consensus among the media seems to be it hasn’t helped. This Al Qasabi aswell as being a minister is also member of the PIF board, let’s hope this is not the link which collapses the separate entity argument. The good news from our point of view is that he’s not a nominated director for the board of NUFC. However, still looks very clumsy and no doubt this ties in with telegraphs article on seeking clarity of relationship with government. As Masters said earlier this week they just want to see a positive response from Saudis to WTO report, they have every chance to seal this deal let’s hope there’s no more gaffs from this Al Qasabi bloke.
