As uncle bingo says no idea why...but here’s another good article on SNP’s relationship with Qatar. They’re clearly calling in favours as that other SNP wanker the other week also wanted the government to intervene. https://theferret.scot/scottish-government-fire-keeping-quiet-human-rights-abuses-qatar

I agree but have we got any faith in Masters, he’s either going to come out of this having secured investment and dealt with piracy, or having driven the Saudis away to invest in another country. The fact they’re allowing Bein to bully them, really is a bad look though and makes them look very weak.

Surprised this hasn't been discussed more. IF it is correct then it certainly doesn't sound good as Ashley's side are the ones that are dealing directly with the Premier League. It came from Simon Bird in the mirror, therefore I haven’t paid much attention to it. He hasn’t missed one opportunity to be negative regarding this takeover. In saying that if the 2nd part is true, then it clearly shows Ashley’s side are beginning to doubt this will happen. Saudi Arabia complaining to the WTO about leaks to the guardian coming from Qatar, and Qatar complaining that Saudi Arabia haven’t understood the ramifications of the WTO ruling, just show what premier league are dealing with. If the Premier League are delaying this until they find something to keep bein happy, I don’t think that will ever happen they’ll just continue to milk it for all it’s worth. Mark Douglas even stated on podcast yesterday that bein have employed a PR company purely to deal with this, the whole thing must be costing millions no way are they backing down.

Southampton takeover took that long after appeal. It’ll be interesting to see how long the Qatari takeover of Leeds United takes to get approved, especially considering the PSG chairman is accused of bribery.....4 weeks tops would be my guess. Took 8 weeks not 8 months didn’t it. Chronicle f***ed that stat up. Not sure to be honest but think it might have been more than 8 weeks.

Every chance they won't. Why? Is there protocol that doesn't allow digression? It's supposed to be a confidential deal with NDAs signed. If they do mention it, then Masters SHOULD straight away tell them that. In parliament there is a law where you are free from any restrictions that limit what you say. It’s how it was revealed that Giggs has an affair with his brothers wife. There quite possibly will be a left field question on takeover from one of the attention seeking pr#%ks. This is where it will be interesting to see how masters deals with it, he should straight bat it. What I think tomorrow will confirm is that he is a smarmy f***ing t***.

I'm not so sure about that Yorkie mind Yeah I noticed the chronicle quoted the agreed fee at 340 million the other day. I’m starting to believe this is the real agreed price and not 300 as widely quoted. It would also explain the 350 rival fee quoted. The only reason he’s agreed to sell is because he actually has received top dollar. I would seriously doubt anyone will match this bid and therefore where back into the realms Of no one being able to agree a deal with him. If this doesn’t go through I really do fear where looking at years more of Ashley.

Unfortunately you are right on this, apart from in ideal world they should give 2 f#%ks about fans. Their product is looking pretty soulless and uninspiring on the telly at present. It's not the PL's job to do what is best for NUFC fans. It's NUFC's job to do that. It's not the PL's fault that we've been left to rot. That's completely on Ashley. Why do the premier league have fan relation officers then, they do have some duty of care when it comes to fans. Unfortunately in this case they clearly don’t give 2 s***s. Just did a quick Google of Premier League Fan Relation Officer... and you guessed it, there's nothing. Look on their website, I speak from experience on this. I’ve had a previous reply from Tommy the fan relations officer at the premier league via e mail. Pretty generic response re the takeover, but a response all the same.

Back to answering questions, I mean they really are taking the p#ss. Why this was key in the NUFC takeover... NUFC editor Mark Douglas speaking on The Everything is Black and White Podcast had this to say on last night's episode about the takeover and calls for clarity. *** "What it reflects is a frustration that something didn't happen last week. "I said on last week's podcast, there was definitely a feeling within the group and even people around the club and others involved in this deal that there was going to be a decision. "There was massive confidence within the consortium that it would be done, they would get the approval, the money would start to transfer and the feeling was that this week they would be finally able to announce it and have all the media things they want to do. "The fact that nothing was said, and I believe they are back to dealing with answering questions on things, suggests there is a frustration there."

The only saving grace of a rejection, is the undoubted money I’d save on getting sucked back in again. I don’t think it’ll taste the same as my younger years with Keegan, but I’d love to see the city buzzing again. Last night was so depressing, i mean when the cameras panned across the city, the first thing that caught your eye was the state of the gallowgates roof. The place has been left to rot it is criminal.
-
Absolutely not a rejection means I’m finished for good. What do you think this club looks like post rejection, with less money and an even less interested owner ? Though I’ve flagged at times, my resolve for this to happen has not diminished one bit. There is no club worth supporting post rejection in my opinion.

This is why i'm intrigued because it feels like him asking in public is something that might p*ss Ashley off because it would suggest that Ashley isn't keeping him informed. I think your reading to much into it. Ashley might have a line to premier league but they’ll have told him it’s still under consideration. Bruce is simply frustrated as we are and is urging them to hurry up, or more likely trying to deflect from that shit show on the pitch tonight.

You sold that well from the off but fair play. I thought to mention it for those who are eternally optimistic, but doubt the story or aspects of the story. It would make sense if the club had mentioned it to the police force, but I doubt the Premier League would, as I doubt they will be making an announcement. I don’t think they would usually, but their seems some doubt in this case due to high profile nature of it. I personally think they will have to say something, even if it’s a very bland statement.

He works for them. He works for the bbc last time I checked. He does ambassadorial jobs for them from time to time. Well if that’s more important than the future of our club f#%K me. Shearer has always played the diplomat, he’s never going to just go off in a rant, he’s not Roy Keane. Agreed but f#%k me I would have loved a keano style rant to get across our frustrations.
