Those 3 home fixtures are awful in regard to the opposition, the exact type of opposition we can’t beat at home usually. However, in that regard I think they’re good fixtures to assess if any lessons are being learned. We should have Bruno and Miley back, so no excuses as far as I’m concerned. Back to 1 game per week, if Howe can’t get a reaction in these 7 games after the criticism received, I think alarm bells should be ringing.

Or the Stuttgart coach who got the best out of him and is very highly rated.
-
In Robin Risser Lens - Out Ramsdale 6 In Honest Ahanor Atalanta - Out Schar In Givairo Read Feyernoord - Out Livaremento In Lamine Camara Monaco - Out Tonali In Kees Smit AZ - Out Joe Willock In Mane Wolves - Out Murphy In Said El Mala Cologne If we sell Woltemade or Wissa then a more accomplished striker as well. We’d be hoovering up some of the best young talent in Europe with the above and it would lower the age of squad. This window needs to be revolutionary and whether Howe is the correct manager for the rebuild needed is open to debate. I think there’s value in selling Murphy as we need a right sided forward and Elanga is going nowhere unfortunately.

Up there with Bruno in the middle for annoying and shit songs. Get shot he’s fucking shite anyway.

Danny Murphy nailed it on that talk sport interview, ride out the pressing storm for 30 mins, then they fall apart 2nd half and basically we’re not a very intelligent team. That’s down to the manager and if Danny fucking Murphy has us sussed, it’s a safe bet everyone else in the league has. This kill them with our intensity doesn’t work with 2 games a week unless you have a big squad. This is the crux of it for me can Howe adapt to being better in possession, has he got the elite coaches around him to implement this, or if we don’t qualify for Europe next season he thinks bingo as you were. If it’s the latter there’s a big problem in terms of him matching the clubs ambitions. I don’t see us having the revenue to provide him with the squad to press teams twice a week for a longtime.

The remaining games this season have become very big. Should we see more bad results and calamitous defending I’m not convinced he survives. The noise will only get louder and there’s only so many times you can keep coming out with the sound bites he has recently after games. If he finishes strongly and we change our approach in the summer then it’s probably a different story. I just think he needs to get away from this 4-3-3, it doesn’t work without a world class forward, the gaps between the midfield and defence are amateur and he needs to evolve to a possession based game. I see no evidence of our style evolving, it’s regressed, in game tactics have been highlighted, bar reverting to a back 5 to see out games occasionally I’ve seen nothing but like for like changes. One of the most damning things I read this season was Longstaff saying training at Leeds was different as they use the ball more. Finally, we need fucking technical players who can pass the ball and create.

Just saying like in case the worst happens and we don’t win another game this season.

Day 3 and still having irrational moments of rage during the day when my mind wanders. Today it was Joe Willocks aimless pass that set them up. Sell the fucking cunt the first day the window opens.
-
Even more Sunday games fucking awful competition. They’ve degrade all the European competitions but at least the Europa League still has a semblance of credibility and the final isn’t played in a non-league ground in Outer Mongolia.
-
Hope it’s not the real David Kelly, still my favourite 2 goals of all time Pompey at home and Grimsby away.
-
That’s a fair summary he was shite away from home and completely isolated. At home though he always looked like he might get on the end of something such as the Chelsea game. He undoubtedly needs some coaching around movement and getting into dangerous areas more, but as Kane has proven you don’t need to be lightening quick and a pace merchant to succeed in the PL.
-
It was that run in the middle stretch that saved us, it was another slow start to the season and questions were being asked. There’s no way the club will sack him unless things really nose dive further, I expect him to be here next season but the pressure is going to be huge for him to start well.
-
The clubs moved on and spent 3 quarters of a billion in Howe’s time here. I’ve seen the shit times in 40 years, this doesn’t compare, but there has to be a realism that it’s a results business and this season is now unacceptable in terms of results and performances. I think a change is needed due to various factors but also accept the view of those who think he’ll turn it around. Time will tell but I find it hard to believe anyone is revelling in it at the moment, yesterday was a sickener for everyone.
-
People are angry and emotional. Who the fuck is feeling smug after yesterday. We’re bottom half of the table, our local rivals have done the double and are above us in the league table. Folk have a right to be pissed off with the manager and team, it was fucking gutless and embarrassing yesterday.
-
I was convinced he was playing up front when team was announced against Everton. I’m fairly sure we still haven’t seen him start with Gordon and Elanga either side, the latter is fucking shite but would still represent his best chance with raw pace either side. It’s criminal the way he’s been managed and a very bad reflection on the managers rigid tactics.
-
Yeah unforgivable losing to them cunts twice in the manner we have. Everyone has their tipping point mine was yesterday unfortunately.
-
His time at Bournemouth came to an end, it does for managers at most clubs eventually. I genuinely think he’s taken us as far as he can, I don’t dispute he’s a great bloke, ambassador and excellent coach. Unfortunately, my gut tells me he’s taken us as far as he can and the rebuild needed just won’t happen under him. My opinion is that you let him spend 150 million this summer and double down on his preferred style of player we’ll be no further forward. Como are 4th top of Serie A. I think he’d help attract young stars from abroad, which should be our model going forward until our revenues allow us to compete. I’m happy to roll the dice after that disgrace yesterday.
-
I’d be happy with a younger unproven manager who has pull and might re-ignite the place a bit. I think Fabregas would be an interesting choice, probably high risk but if he could get us playing good football with an exciting young team I’d be all in. The place needs a shot in the arm, all managers have a sell by date and we’re delaying the inevitable going into next season with Howe. He’s not the man for a big rebuild in my opinion which is now required.
-
He’s an impact sub for a top team no more.
-
This is the worry I think all our centre back look dodgy as fuck. For all Thiaw can look like a Rolls Royce at times, I don’t think it’s any coincidence we’ve shipped so many goals with him playing.
-
Yeah naive of players and coaching staff if they think this is easily put right. Fallout of this will linger over club for rest of the season.
-
I don’t think he’s tactically good enough and was again outsmarted today. One dimensional and the defending is some of the worst I’ve seen in 40 years. Today we seen our midfield outclassed, he’s spent a fucking fortune and think Xhaka, Rigg, Sadiki and Le Fee looked far more accomplished, creative on the ball than anything we had. Let that sink in, we spent 40 million on a Villa reserve in the summer, our 2nd most expensive midfielder ever and he’s bang average. He’s wasted over 200 million in the summer and not one signing has improved our starting 11. Today was unforgivable and most could see it coming a mile off.
-
You’ve got to laugh a year ago we break our trophy duck and today we lose to these cunts for the 2nd time this season. Only Newcastle United can do this to you. Today was rinse and repeat and he only knows how to play one way. Come out of the traps fast and press until we can’t run anymore. He’s signed a team full of runners and the fact these cunts looked more composed on the ball in the 2nd half is unacceptable. Absolutely disgraceful today and bad as anything served up under Pardew.

It’s not bang on the route they bring them up via St James Boulevard. Massive overreaction from Northumbria Police as per usual in this fixture.
