Sickening if they do, so much for poor Jurgen not being able to compete.

Must admit not sure how you go from Thuram/Kone to Szob. I’m sure Liverpool know what they’re doing, but not so sure their recruitment has been as shit hot as of late. They’ll strike a decent deal with Leipzig as appear to have good relations with them. Let’s hope he turns out like Keita. Cunts.
-
Not initially maybe, but will surely help when negotiating with adidas etc for next shirt contract. It’s the biggest market in the Middle East and that’s got to count when topping up shirt sales across the globe.
-
Way clear to go back in for Thuram ? Would that work alongside Bruno and Tonali, would certainly be dynamic but not solve our creativity problem perhaps.
-
New sponsor has definitely improved the look of shirts considerably.
-
He’ll probably end up at fucking Chelsea.
-
Seems highly rated and German international to boot.
-
Lad on Newcastle Fans TV was waxing lyrical about Florian Wirtz yesterday as a potential option to Szob. Fits the profile for an attacking midfielder and right age for us.
-
Black and white trim make it really nice. It’ll sell well in Saudi boosting our revenue most importantly.

Probably wish I’d never read this but whilst there’s still hope.

From ShieldsGreggs absolute belter - Was in Henderson’s Butchers this morning getting some stuff for me bbq for Saturday and was one of them in the shop. The butcher Henry said “good morning how can I help” I walked straight out and drove to stirks instead. Should of told him to get stuffed and refused service. Why are we suddenly accepting this? It’s rotten. What’s happened to us?

Luke will be back going big on McTominay, Barnes and Gallagher next week, whilst pouring cold water on Szob. Then bang we’ll sign someone completely different, rinse and repeat with baldy.
-
Szob is the new Paqueta I feel, we like him but not a priority in the clubs eyes i fear.
-
Lucky escape hearing many mags have been death stared recently and had to get on their toes quickly. Stay safe anyone wearing NUFC merch in public.
-
He does look raw and your typical pacy wide man, not many have the qualities you mention, which is why Szob probably is the standout target to fill the wide right slot.
-
Kudus seems very left footed but spends a lot of his time on right side of attack from what I’ve seen. Howe seems to like inverted wide men, think he could do a canny job on right side, though always the risk that comes with players from Dutch league.

All the priority positions most people would consider need strengthening. Reassuring. -
Even better genuine alternative to Szob and in last year of contract.
-
If we can’t get Szob who can cover midfield and out wide, I wonder if the club will go another route such as an out and out winger like Kudus. If we signed Kone and Kudus for example I’d be quite happy to forget about Szob, and I think that would arguably make us much stronger.

Exactly folk are just seeing the 40 million fee it goes way beyond that. Our wages need to be kept in check until our income matches the old top 6. We’re not there yet and if Maddison downs tools after a year who the fuck is picking up those wages, it’ll hamper any squad rebuild going forward. The club know what they’re doing and a 22 year old on 80k a week is much more where we’re currently at. -

Just echoing what Caulkin said last week, def changes like the wind does Luke. -

I think Tonali’s wages will be less than Maddison and he’s already doing it on the big stage at Milan winning the league and playing in CL semi finals. -

Thank fuck for that there’s a reason the real top teams aren’t after him. He’s not a bargain on those reported wages, whatever the fee is. -
Nice don’t want to sell this summer apparently, had a feeling Ineos would be tough negotiators.

It appears Edwards has shot his load early again.
