Chelsea fans quite unanimous in wanting a Saudi prince to get them... figure most teams would want them if it's their club they'd invest in

https://pressgazette.co.uk/times-to-pay-substantial-libel-damages-to-billionaire-businessman-mike-ashley/ The former Newcastle United owner launched libel proceedings against Times Newspapers following front page coverage of its investigation into the activities of mobile telephone company Sport Mobile. The High Court in London was told on Wednesday that the publisher of The Times had issued an apology and retraction over a series of articles in print and online on 17 and 18 July 2020. Speker added: “Following libel proceedings brought by Mr Ashley, the court found that the articles were defamatory of him. “The court found that in the articles it was alleged that there are grounds to suspect that Sport Mobile helped Mr Ashley to avoid the disclosure in High Court proceedings of potentially relevant text messages and phone records, which Mr Ashley had told the court he could not produce whilst knowing Sport Mobile could in fact have obtained them.” Speker told the hearing, before Judge Jaron Lewis, that the publisher “confirmed it did not intend to make these claims”, adding: “It made a formal offer of amends that was accepted by Mr Ashley. “It has published an apology and retraction and it has agreed to pay substantial damages to Mr Ashley as well as his legal costs.” He added that the publisher “through its apology published in the print edition of The Times and online, has accepted that any allegations of wrongdoing by Mr Ashley in his litigation with Jeffrey Blue are untrue”.

https://www.wba.co.uk/news/bruces-assessment-swansea-defeat “We made mistakes. To play here you’ll know there are big expectations. The club expects to be at the top end of the Championship or in the Premier League. “You have to handle the expectation. At the moment, we’re simply not doing that. “It’s alright saying we’ve got a really good squad of players on paper. We’re not seeing enough of that on the pitch. “There were too many players nervous and anxious. There wasn’t enough confidence. It’s up to me to try and breathe confidence into them. “It might have been different if the two Robinson efforts go in rather than hitting the post, but we can’t be happy with the performance. “We expect to be a lot better than that, and that’s the disappointment.” -
Star () thinks we're after Kepa in the summer for about £50m https://www.dailystar.co.uk/sport/football/chelsea-transfer-news-kepa-newcastle-26336658 It is understood the west Londoners are prepared to listen to any sensible offers around the £50m mark. A loan with an obligation to buy might also be deemed acceptable in the right circumstances. An array of LaLiga big hitters – including Diego Simeone's Atletico Madrid – have been actively sniffing around. But cash-rich Newcastle are also prepared to show their cards if they stay in the Premier League. Eddie Howe rates Slovakia international Martin Dubravka highly. Nevertheless, the Toon’s ambitious new owners want wholesale upgrades across the team if they retain their top-flight status.

After 11 games in 20/21 we had 17 points, after 11 games in 21/22 we had 5 points. 14 games later and we've matched the 25 points we had after 25 games

Quotes probably posted before but “We will soon see. What happens in the dressing room stays there but we have to do more, and in particular you have to have the ability to roll up your sleeves a bit more and show something – especially when you go a goal behind,” Bruce indicated. “I have only been here two or three weeks. I saw things to be pleased about in the first-half, but the one thing I have learned from the second half is change - change is difficult for them. -
But now it's getting embarrassing

3-0 down to a hat-trick so fair play to them
