Can they not just increase the loan to pay the interest and then defer that to the following years accounts
-
Keep the PSR with the limit at £105 million loses but let clubs invest, the ambitious clubs will be allowed to grow and the poorly run clubs (the likes of Leeds Derby ect) wont be allowed to fail.
-
Is the issue not, A. The lack of interest payments on the loans & B. What the money was actually spent on. Bottom line, the 4 clubs in question with the help of a few other tried to change the rules to stop Newcastle. They obviously rushed the change not thinking that it could have a negative impact on the league, this leads to Man City costing the league £40 million in legal fees and the rules shot to bits. A proper shit show of their own making.

I've heard the McRib is coming back so it could be that.

Not a chance, the Sky 6 will not want anyone in charge who will actually stand up to them, thats why it took so long to hire him in the first place, didnt loads of competent people turn them down for that very reason, someone like Charnley might be a good replacement if he quits on his own accord though.

Have these PSR rules failed miserably where Brighton and Everton are concerned ? If those loans are called in they are fucked.
-
I think an interest free loan is not "Fair" so an interest fee should have been charged, apparently Everton have £400 million worth and Brighton and Arsenal have £200 million
-
I think its very ambiguous as to who the justification should be made, the Saudis have given single golfers as much as our whole club, so a billion investment would be Fair to them especially with the coverage and exposure it would provide leading up to 2030. Personally I reckon we can do what we want and the EPL wont say a dickie bird to avoid any more time in court.

However ....the person at the top of the pile is just a stooge for the SKY6 clubs he has no power at all

Did they not get a huge Covid loan (or whatever it was) ? was that FMV ?
-
I think we could use that as leverage to get a mother fucker of a deal from ARAMCO, "let it go through or we sue"
-
Bloke on Talksport just now seems to think the shareholder loans could be huge for Arsenal and Everton who currently owe hundreds of millions
-
So that was already in the rules but never enforced ?

The PSR contained (a) a £105 million limit on the aggregate loss a club may suffer over a three-season period (if covered by sufficiently secure funding – principally equity but not debt) and (b) an ability for the Board of the PL to restate the consideration in the club’s accounts from any RPTs to fair market value (“FMV”) RPT was defined as “any transaction disclosed in a company's annual accounts as a related party transaction or which would have been disclosed as such except for an exemption under the accounting standards under which the annual accounts were prepared.” (Rule A 1.173 of the Rules in the form in which they appeared in the PL Handbook for the 2021/22 season.). Although there was no definition of what substantively was meant by a RPT, we understand it to have included not just sponsorship agreements but also shareholder loans. Thus the PSR covered not just revenue received by clubs but also costs expended by them. FMV was defined as “the amount for which an asset could be sold, licensed or exchanged, a liability settled, a service provided between knowledgeable, willing parties in an arm’s length transaction.” (Rule A 1.71 of the same edition of the Rules). So Arsenal and Brighton broke the rules but Chelsea didn't, why weren't they sanctioned like Everton and Nottingham Forest

Do we have any shareholder loans ?
-
So what do we have left to sponsor and what is the highest price we can get ?
