I really do think a bit of rotation leads to a fresher squad and less injuries. So for example Tino could come in for Tripps or Burn. Barnes could come in for Gordon. we’ve now for the first time in months got options, and I think he should be using them. For example a 33 year old Tripps is playing his third game in a week. I get ideally you want to put your best team out every week, but margins are so small at the highest level so you’ve got to keep your team fresh.

He really needs to start rotating the squad a bit. If we get another round of injuries, his lack of rotation will have been a factor.

Send him to Feyenoord for a loan. We’ve got a good relationship with them and they play at a high standard, plus their current manager is good at developing players. Also noticed Everton’s young central defender Branthwaite was on loan at PSV last year and that seems to be have been great for his development.
