  1. Need a win against Brighton and if Burnley get beat off Chelsea then that will leave a decent margin to have a good go in those away games.
  2. Burnley loss is the only result that anyone should be looking at. Until there is a time we are safe, keeping the teams currently below us is all that matters.
  3. Read @GeorgeCaulkin superb interview with #nufc owners. I've a small issue with all the bold promises, not least riddle of how they can be like Man City, winning PL and CL contenders in 5 years and aim for gradual sustainable growth? Should not be over promising, it's dangerous I suspect the happy clappers won't like me daring to question any of what has been said but that's what I do. I'm very wary of new owners (stakeholders) offering pipe dreams to fans, it happens all the time. They've done some good things so far and some not so good things
  4. I see poor baldy Edwards pouring scorn on the owners interview. He’s obviously been totally ostracised by the owners
  5. Aye hope I’m wrong, but got a horrible nagging feeling we’re going to lose today. Really could do with minimum of a draw here.
  6. Saturday’s is massive imho. Win and we are in a decent position, draw would still keep teams just above us with game(s) in hand on Brentford and Leeds, lose and we’re right back in the melting pot.
  7. Well to me if that's the case, they should be looking at other options (I know they are not).
  8. Name me another club who has had to pay compensation for a new board member, which was the point I was making.
  9. He's a manager, nothing to do with a board level appointment.
  10. Don't have a clue and don't think I can remember any other club having to pay compensation.
  11. Stupid if that's the case mind imho.
  12. Let's say they are correct, then to me it seems a bit stupid going for him when we need somebody in now (I would argue it should have been sooner also). Maybe we are negotiating a fee though.
  13. He's been wrong about loads of things relating to us. He's very anti-NUFC.
  14. Can't see it being 9 months as what's the point in going for him. Maybe until the end of season at the very most.

    Paul Dummett

I’d still wait myself as not convinced he will keep this level of performance up.

    Paul Dummett

Don’t think Shelvey makes sense imo, when he has another year left after this one. If he’s still performing ok next Christmas time then fair enough. He’s been here years and has been total shit for most of that time, so has to do a level performance over a much longer period to convince me. No chance in hell would I give Dummett a new contract, as not only is he an injury liability, he’s also a pretty average premier league player. As I mentioned in another thread, it’s an Edwards article, so take with a pinch of salt anyway.
  17. Celebrity like you would surely have been better getting somewhere on the quayside. What on earth made you live there?
  18. The times I have watched them they look a mid table side at best. I always find it funny when the RTG mob keep bellowing that the squad is the best in the league. It’s bang average all over the pitch and the only reason they have an outside chance for getting to the playoffs is due to Stewart who is decent at that level. Was the same story last year, when they had Wyke.
  19. Burton had 4 great other chances on top of the one they scored.
  20. To be fair all the best players (including Anderson and White who have just left) are on loan at football league clubs, which is a better option than playing for the U23s.. The overall standard of the academy will improve greatly in the years to come.
  21. It’s Edwards so would take with a pinch of salt.
  22. On paper we have 3 games which we can probably write off (Chelsea, Man City, Liverpool - may give Liverpool a game up here with Wilson and Trippier possibly back), I think possibly with all the other games. there is a chance of gaining points. even though we also have tough games against Tottenham, Arsenal, Wolves, Southampton and Leicester. Hopefully the Tottenham from Saturday will turn up on Wednesday. Bit concerned that Palace are playing Watford and Burnley this week as they are right off form at the moment. You would fancy Southampton to beat Norwich, but like Brighton on Saturday they can be a bit hit and miss. It's in our hands though, if we keep putting points on the total, we should be ok.
