The information they get has no direct effect on the club's transfer business. There is no way on earth they are going to discuss their actual budget and transfer targets with journalists and if you think that then you're living in cloud cuckoo land.

I honestly don't know why anyone takes much notice of the local journalists for. They get far far more wrong than they get right. Not a chance the owners will be discussing budgets or transfers with any of them. Pure clickbait guesswork has been the order in both the January and this Summer's window.
