Not sure if the Ruebens were involved last time as I'm sure it was reported they had pulled out. Whichever funding she had, it wasn't enough to get Ashley to agree, unlike the current deal.
-
I hate Ashley with everything, he is however a businessman and the owner, who will attempt to get a deal done on his terms. He doesn't give a fuck about the club or the fans. This time he has got everything he is looking for (and probably more with business opportunities opening up in the middle east). That's why he is putting millions into the legal route. Not being argumentative it's just the way it is with Ashley. Don't like it, but it's his club and he can do what he wants, and couldn't give a fuck if he is hated for it.

Well we don’t know who has been in for us, except for Kenyon. Staveley 1st time (backing wasn’t reported), or the previous Arab attempt and to be honest 2 of those would have been very bad; and as I said previously we don’t know what money was behind Staveley in her first attempt (looking at how she was wanting to structure the deal that time it was obviously not extensive). Credit to her she then looked at other parties. I’ll not even mention the bankrupt Singapore group. As much as everyone wants Ashley gone, the new owners need to be in a position to at least move the club forward and provide investment. Unless you can name other potential interested owners which have been reported.
-
Without a doubt this is his main take as he couldn’t give a fuck about the club or the fans.
-
Obviously some cunt doesn’t want to buy us or they would have. They have had 15 years to do so and Ashley won’t consider anything anyway until the cases are played out.
-
I have not a clue either way how it will pan out. The PL don’t have a choice if the legal cases are in our favour. Just have to wait for the legal side to play out, we’ve waited 15 years of utter shit and it will make no difference waiting a bit longer. It’s either this or nothing, as it will be another Ashley type, hedge fund group or even worse (imo) if it doesn’t go through.
-
Yeah understand everyone has an opinion, nobody has a real clue though how the cases will actually play out.
-
Nothing has changed we await the legal cases. Might not go our way or it might go our way. Nobody has a clue what is happening or how it will end.
-
Probably best to wait for what the judge's ruling is and if there is any appeal before saying it's getting closer.

Did the linesman give offside? I thought they just automatically checked this with any VAR penalty decision. Don't have a problem if it's checked and it's offside, however when you look at the goal given for Man Utd last week, then that's why the whole thing is a sham. Also the fact for their penalty, the referee was told to have a look at the off pitch monitor, yet wasn't last week against West Ham. Can't stand VAR, it's totally ruined the game due to the inconsistencies of the officials (not the actual equipment). Very very few actual decent referees in the Premier League. -

Bruce is shit in every way, just don't think any of the defenders are very good either (either due to age or ability). -

That's a joke and when you counter in the fact also that the referee was told to go check the screen this time and yet wasn't last week - that's not right. -

None of those players would get into any team above midtable and none of those teams would be interested either. Rafa had good organisation and defended from the front (we don't now), however under Rafa the likes of Clark, Ritchie and Murphy were certainly on their way out of the club. Neesy states some are also getting on a bit and that's a fair point also (especially Fernandez). Just don't rate any of our defenders as more than average at best and nobody needs to tell me about the clusterfuck of a manger making things even worse. You even agreed to the point I made last week concerning if you are a player of a good quality standard then you will still see that on a football pitch no matter who the manager is. I just don't see that with any of the defenders, or most of the team either it has to be said. -

That defence looks like it's going to concede with every attack. All the players in the back line are bang average (no matter who is selected) and the five at the back just doesn't work. We desperately need defenders, another central midfielder and a striker. My money is that we will get Choudary on loan (possibly) and that's it - very average player to me but the fact he will still be an improvement (aside Willock) is telling. Almiron is not a midfielder and St Max is not a forward. Bruce is an absolute joke of a manager, but I'm not 100% convinced by Jones either mind. -
Bruce has a perfect excuse to use if he goes with his threat of 4 goalkeepers, meaning one less outfield place and one less incoming transfer option. Fat cunt will use it also. Why the fuck would he name 4 though.? Two are long term injuries, so get the medical opinion of which one will return first, select him for the squad and leave the other one out until January.

You're not being serious are you with your can't argue tbf - surely not?

Other clubs do it and are allowed to also, so I certainly would want this takeover. I want what is best for my club to compete and imo this takeover gives us the best chance to do so. If others don't want PIF then that's their prerogative also and I respect that.

Bullshit Keith was trying to blame Ashley's legal team the other week about leaving things too late (and publicly also), so I fully expect them to be totally cut off now (if he was ever really in the loop in the first place - I very much doubt he was), as he is full on attention blabber now. Kennedy and Wraith are totally brainwashed by that Keith now and Kennedy especially has become the monkey for the organ grinder. I'll repeat what I said a few weeks ago, ignore eveyone until the legal cases have progressed.

From Keith's big mate

This is fundamentally the reason why Ashley is still fighting like mad, he’s not only going to make his cash back and more on the sale, but he (and imho the main reason) will have things lined up in the Middle East pending the takeover being completed. He certainly wouldn’t give a shit who he was selling the club to if that was the only thing on the table, and the fact that he won’t consider any other bids I think demonstrates this
-
I’m always a big believer that if you are a player of a good quality standard then you will still see that on a football pitch no matter who the manager is. Yes a player will perform better at more frequent levels under a better manager, but you don’t just go to a shit level of performance over a two year period under a poor manager. You still see quality players like Wilson and St Max giving high level performances under the same poor manager. If Everton or anyone else offered 10 million, personally I would bite their hand off.
-
I thought everyone was now just posting in the Braindead thread for anything that balloon said. Or if people are keen to keep what he says relevant, then why don't they create a new 'Keith's Fantasy Island Plane Ride' thread.
-
Personally, apart from the blue training top, I think all the other stuff looks pretty shit. Don’t like either strip so far and if that green kit is our third kid, it’s absolutely hideous. Fortunately I have no interest in buying anything which puts money into Ashley’s pockets.

I was a season ticket holder for over 40 years until Rafa’s second season. The fact that Ashley continued to underfund the club even when he had a big name manager, was the final straw for me. Bothered me a bit the season after, but now it doesn’t even cross my mind. I won’t be back until new owners with the insight and ambition to invest and improve the club are in charge. Hopefully the legal cases may still see PIF/PCP/Reuben consortium take over. If not, I honestly believe that we will be owned by another Ashley/hedge fund group.
