It wasn’t Man Utd they sold out to, the only time they did was us. They only had 31500 for their semi final with them and that was including 9000 Man Utd fans.
-
I just don’t see any of the other three teams getting enough points. Not saying we’re brilliant by any means, but they all look very poor. We are also now in a position where we can look to overtake other teams, which was only a long shot three weeks ago.
-
Our average attendance since the Level 7 extensions were built is edit: over 48,000, this includes a period of 14 years under Ashley and two relegations. If we can get that many after the Ashley years, then I'm quite confident we can fill a new stadium.
-
Got to do one or the other though, otherwise a large number of fans are going to miss out including (importantly) the next generation.
-
I stick by my comments, of course I respect your opinion.

No it’s to give the opportunity for supporters (now and future) to go to games as the demand will increase (it already has). To me the two most important things about the club are the team and then the support. Unfortunately St James’ is not able to cater for the future increased demand to attend games. Everyone would love for it not to be the case, but due to listed buildings it isn’t. I accept some won’t agree though.
-
Yeah totally agree, obviously it’s a shame but the demand is going to force the issue in the future.
-
Or is it Wee Phillie or what the fuck his name is?
-
Personally I would go for a 70-80k new stadium as it’s impossible to get St James’ up to that amount and the cost of even adding 6-7k to the Gallowgate end would be massive. It’s a shame, but the listed buildings make it virtually impossible to create a stadium to meet the demand. Don’t think anything will happen for at least two years anyway and more likely five years.
-
Im not too sure. Don’t think the decision will be anytime soon anyway, however if we do get to be challenging on all fronts, then I don’t think they will have any choice. The cost for extending a few thousand will be massive, would make more sense building a modern all purpose 70-80 thousand new stadium. Think it will be at least two years before they put plans in place anyway. Training ground is the priority.

West Ham United vs. Newcastle United: 19/02/2022 @ 12.30pm (BT)

Good question, but I honestly believe that the team will be more balanced and better with him in it. Personally though it seems harsh, it would be Shelvey currently, as although Joelington becomes an absolute mess in the last third, he puts more pressure onto the opposing midfield. Willock is the one player who we need to get into the box, and that's the only reason also I would play him before Shelvey. -

Still think Bruno will be the perfect player to stop teams from dictating games. We are still struggling to have 40% possession in games and I think he would be a massive solution to this. -
Aye, this is my thinking also.
-
It's a well known fact that the owners have been in communication with the council, before even when the takeover was first disclosed. I'm pretty sure that the Council will be bending over backwards to assist in any re-location. It also suits the Council massively to keep the stadium within the city centre location.
-
I think they would be looking to build a new stadium and using St James' as normal until it is built. I think it's asking a hell of a lot asking supporters to make a 5 hour round trip, for probably one maybe two seasons, whilst the new ground is (using current ground infrastructure) being built, especially when there is no need to do that.
-
Aye, I reckon 33 would be enough this year (in fact I think the other 3 teams will struggle to get 30 points). I was expecting to be at least 6 points behind 4th bottom come January and with not much hope of staying up, so it's a massive bonus we are now 4 points clear. Really we shouldn't be getting relegated now from this position.

A few of them might join the cause and have a shit in their seats as a sign of protest.

By all accounts he understands it pretty well though so don’t think that’s an issue.

WTF is going on here? First he doesn’t look fit after playing 4 minutes and now his body language is not right

Whenever I’ve encountered mackems through work or social, they have generally been fine until a derby game is on the horizon. They then start to turn into Mr Hyde for about a week before and after the game.

See the alleged MAG over there 'Sabre Mag' talking his usual anti-Newcastle shite, no way is he a Newcastle fan . 'jlaws' been put in his box also by a few of his own fans for his obsession about us .
-
Most important thing about today’s result was the fact we have now made it (for us anyway) an 8 team fight for finishing above the relegation places. That is a massive plus compared to pre Leeds.

I did see him and he was that special
