Yeah at the price maybe worth a gamble. Can’t see takeover going through (if it does) before the end of the transfer window and with doubts over Fernandez and the probability of Lejuene going, we’re going to be short in that department. Cannot see Ashley putting any decent money in for transfers with the takeover still playing out either (though he needs no excuse anyway as we sadly know). Obviously the question to be asked if he did have potential, then why are Wolves looking to ship him and for such a low cost. Seems to me they don’t think he’s a top level player and want to make some money off a lower league (they’re probably gobsmacked I’d we are interested and now trying to get a bit more money) club before his contract is up. Agree he has maybe (can’t say actually as we don’t know what he has uncovered and is being used in the club’s case - I certainly hope it’s more than what he had released so far - he says it is) done some good, but he should have kept quiet and let it just proceed. No, I think he just didn’t enjoy the experience of working under Ashley and doesn’t see his time here as memorable. I know he still thinks the world of the support, but imho he will think it was three and a half wasted years.

I think it’s got fuck all to do with the takeover personally. Both cases are being carried out by the club and do you think Ashley gives two shits about Rafa. Also who is to say, he is the consortiums first choice either. He may have been Staveley’s first choice in her first takeover attempt, but as linked today in one of the threads, the other consortium members were looking at Poch and Arteta.
