  1. I copied and pasted the whole statement. Where’s the other statements that’s what I’m saying. NUFC, AS or PIF haven’t released any other official statements. That’s the whole point. Wrong good night ? Club statement Newcastle United has issued the following club statement on Thursday 19 November 2020: “The Club has previously not commented on the arbitration it is pursuing against the Premier League (‘EPL’) with respect to its conduct relating to the proposed takeover because of the confidentiality clause in the EPL's rules. "However, the Club is aware of public reports which state that, on 17 November, the EPL referred to legal proceedings with the Club (e.g. social media posts referring to the “Club’s own legal case”) in a letter to Newcastle supporters. "The source of some of the reporting is said to be the EPL. It appears, therefore, that the EPL has leaked the contents of their letter to some of those commenting in the public domain. "The Club understands that these will be matters of great concern to its fans and therefore considers that, in light of the information disclosed by the EPL, it has no choice but to respond and update its fans in response to this coverage. "The Club makes no comment on the substance of the arbitration, but it can confirm that it has issued arbitration proceedings against the EPL. "It is unclear when those proceedings will be resolved, given the approach of the EPL and its lawyers, Bird & Bird. Nevertheless, the Club will continue to use its best efforts to press for a fair, full and timely hearing of its claim.” The original discussion is about MA/PIF/AS releasing statements to say the takeover is on/off. They’ve all released a statement to say it’s off. Since then none of them have spoken officially to say it’s back on. The statement you have shared is MA potentially pursuing a case against the PL, which isn’t confirmation PIF/the deal are (or ever will be) back at the table. I was answering the question from a poster who said “it’s on until they say it’s off”, my point is - they all have already said it’s off. It’s technically the other way round.... it’s off until they say it’s back on. They’ve said it’s back on? Where? For a start that original statement from the club does not say it’s off and was followed up by the arbitration statement. It literally says the deal has been rejected What about AS’s interview and PIF’s statements? Do they not say its off? Rejected yes and then states the club are considering options, which then led to arbitration and the other statement which followed. Pointless even discussing things with you as you’re ignoring things which are there in black and white. Whether the takeover goes ahead I very much doubt, but, you’re totally misrepresenting the original NUFC statement, whilst will fully ignoring the follow up statement.

  5. I’m not thinking the takeover is going ahead by a long shot, but, why are you not including the statements concerning the arbitration. If you’re going to use official statements to back your point, then don’t only use part of them, which then doesn’t paint the whole picture of what has happened.
  6. Keith can barely take himself to the toilet. He has done himself no favours the last couple of months. I admire that he is prepared, and has put his money in to try and help developments; however, he comes accross so badly now. He should have just left it to actual updates (mind there has been no concrete ones for months now) instead of turning half the fanbase against him.
  7. There run of games in the past couple of months including this Saturday have been against mostly lower bottom half clubs. They have Posh, Hull, Peterbrough, Accrington, Blackpool away and Blackpool, Oxford, Accrington, Charlton and Lincoln at home, so still don't think they will go up automatically. Play offs are a lottery as we all know.
  8. Typical Edwards and to be fair he succeeds in his baiting as he gets bites galore every single time. His level of journalism can be summed up in one name Henry Mauriss. The bloke is a c*** and a clown, but, he still gets people biting away on Twitter. If you're going to bait people though, you should be able to handle the abuse that'll inevitably come back at you for doing it. He can't. Yeah I agree there mind he is a like a childish snidey kid.
  9. b) for me given past experience. I can't understad how anybody would gamble 100m (I think it will be closer to half the value £175m based on the current climate) if any deal was anywhere near completion, as that is crazy money if it was. This is the first time we have an alleged guaranteed buyer before anyone comes back that he has done this in the past.

  11. What should happen if they do is say no he’s injured and invite a member of their medical team to the UK if they want further proof. With this club though they will probably send him first class in Ashley’s private jet.
  12. Aye, I think since the 'withdrawal' by PIF last year, he's been pretty much saying the Takeover is/has been off since then, and that DeMarco is only doing whatever he's doing to get Ashley some Compo. He was also the person who started the Mauriss shit off, the bloke is an utter clown and total cunt to boot.
  13. I’m said no takeover will happen as long as relegation is hanging over us, but, even I know that Edwards is a total clueless WUM prick. He’s doing exactly what he sets out to do and it works a treat every time, whether it be about the takeover, Bruce or NUFC in general.
  14. Think the big question is why he is so willing to stick with Bruce if the takeover still has a chance of happening? Makes no sense to me That is one question that doesn’t make sense to me either unless he still thinks the Takeover is to happen SOON and he’s not prepared to spend more money by getting rid of Bruce and his entourage. A very big gamble indeed if that is the case. I think we're at the stage where they won't conclude a takeover 'soon' anyway as the value of the club will plummit if relgegation does happen. This then brings it back to the question why is Ashley not doing anything to stop the threat of relegation, if he really feels things are going to plan.
  15. Think the big question is why he is so willing to stick with Bruce if the takeover still has a chance of happening? Makes no sense to me Yep I'm the same, it just doesn't
  16. You're right in my opinion nothing will happen (if there is anyway) until the end of the season. As I've mentioned a few times, the fact that Ashley is willing to gamble relegation and put the value of a reported 350m deal to probably half in value, indicates to me that nothing is happening. We will see

I've not seen the decent aspects mind and I wouldn't pay 5m for him even with today's sky high prices. He was bought to improve our attacking options and he certainly doesn't do that. He's poor in the air, he's pretty poor on the ground, and his effort in games is laughable especially when it comes to getting into the areas that matter - and what he was bought for. Class A donkey all round for me.

Makes you wonder what is was about him in Germany, that made someone/Ashley believe he was worth £40million. Something smells dodgy to me. Pass, and I totally agree this transfer has a lot of unanswered questions. I would be amazed if we even got 5 mil for him now. Total dross and it was no surprise that Rafa came out and said he wasn’t worth the money. Don’t know for certain, but, would not be surprised if Ashley’s insistence on signing him was the straw that broke the camels back with regards to Rafa.

Pound for pound he has to be the worst signing the club has made and that’s saying something. Class A donkey and the scout who signed him should have been kicked out of the club.
  20. Damn sad news, classy cultured centre half and a wonderful servant for the club R.I.P
  21. If it is, then you need to think about what is is that Nick de Marco is trying to do. I don't believe it's just to get compensation for Ashley and nothing else. It most likely is just about Ashley compo, but if they string the fans along it keeps them off his back and makes him look like he’s doing what he can to leave. It will get interesting if we go down. Ashley will want the loss of asking price or costs to get us back up. He won’t let that go and I don’t blame him. We go down it’s because we’ve become more of a zombie club than ever before, and we have the PL to thank for that. If we go down there will be only one person to blame and that’s Ashley himself.
  22. Nope just some of the local journalists saying they are from discussions with the buyers.

    Joelinton

You can’t excuse him for that 12 yards out with the full goal to aim at. Most half decent striker would have buried that. Unfortunately he’s nowhere near half decent.
  24. He should have saved that mind if that was Darlow he would have been getting pelters on here
