  1. Brighton usually go into free fall at this stage, they certainly have the last two seasons
  2. Doesn’t matter what they want it’s what is legally correct. We will just have to wait and see as none of us know, however I will say if they were so sure on their legal stand why didn’t they just reject it initially. The thing is, legally or not, if there's enough corruption at the top it won't matter, who's going to stop them from doing whatever they want? Grease the palm of the right person and the PL can do whatever they want. Then the club will have a field day in court if that’s the case and again why have they not rejected it already then. I’ve always been 50/50 on the takeover going through as I don’t know the legal stand regards separation. I do think the stopper will be if we get relegated as I’ve mentioned before.

  4. If you listen to the gallowgate shots podcast, the female lawyer (Shell) gives a different interpretation as to why it was done. There is 2 lawyers, neither involved, neither really knowing what’s happening giving two different views. Best to wait for the official lines not opinions. Tbf Shell doesn't really know anything. She is a newly qualified solicitor and has zero experience in this field of law as she's never practised in it. Before last August she was telling everyone there was no way this takeover could fail (and in her own words explained why) then it did fail and she's now spent the last 6 months telling everyone why it won't come off. She's built a big social media following off the back of it I'll give her that. My wife has been a solicitor for almost 20 years and practises in similar fields of law to Shell and would be first to admit she wouldn't have a clue how this might play out. I agree what I’m trying to say is neither know what’s going on as they’re not involved.

  6. No wonder people are asking for this thread to be locked
  7. So looks like no movement by the Premier League and they're still dead against it going through. Put's to bed that we hadn't had news due to a agreement being sought to avoid arbitration. The person showing biased (according to club and De Marco) is still going to be Chairman and we now wait to see if the club will appeal this judgement. Sick and tired of the whole thing to be honest.
  8. He’s worse than Pardew in every way and that’s saying something.
  9. I hope it’s another Hope tirade, but, be amazed if he’s allowed to ask anything. The other press are kissing arses too much to force the issue.
  10. He’s like a bull terrier going for the kill
  11. If you listen to Parker’s interview there compared to Bruce it’s fucking embarrassing comparing the two.
  12. Hopefully a couple of defeats and a few goals against (likely) may knock them a bit. At the end of the day for all their decent play, they don’t look like scoring many goals. Depends if we can get something from two games which are winnable and that is more the issue as can’t see that happening.
  13. If this was the case, why is he still here? MA obviously doesn’t care at all. Because NUFC fans want Bruce gone and if there is one thing that Mike Ashley will never do, it's give the fans what they want. He will cut his nose off to spite his face. Certainly looking that way currently as at no other club would he still be in the job. It’s possibly going to cost him 150m + and the possibility of a takeover, but, he’s still keeping Bruce in the job That's because neither he or his muppet DOF have any idea what to do about it. To replace him, you'd have to know something about the game. Don’t need to be told him or thumb don’t know anything that’s plainly obvious.

  15. Think it was about ASM calling him out.
  16. He’s actually saying it’s a good story and saying Bruce had a go at him about reporting about Darlow. Even he is admitting it’s not looking good.
  17. Kennedy said the other week that it would be exactly the same in terms of how strict the test would be. Neither are strict if you look at the likes of Burnley, Wigan and a few other lower league clubs. How the hell these got passed demonstrates that it’s one rule for one and one rule for another. It seems to me that American money is the one way to guarantee a takeover proceeding.
  18. What’s the reason why we don’t have a mid week game this week?

    Joelinton

Wouldn’t be surprised if he turned it around if he’s still here assuming we get relegated. He’s looked pretty good against lower league opposition. In the event that Ashley is probably still in charge he will be one of the first gone for the stupid wages he is on. He really is one of the worst signings ever if you consider how s*** he is and how much money he had cost.
  20. I copied and pasted the whole statement. Where’s the other statements that’s what I’m saying. NUFC, AS or PIF haven’t released any other official statements. That’s the whole point. Wrong good night ? Club statement Newcastle United has issued the following club statement on Thursday 19 November 2020: “The Club has previously not commented on the arbitration it is pursuing against the Premier League (‘EPL’) with respect to its conduct relating to the proposed takeover because of the confidentiality clause in the EPL's rules. "However, the Club is aware of public reports which state that, on 17 November, the EPL referred to legal proceedings with the Club (e.g. social media posts referring to the “Club’s own legal case”) in a letter to Newcastle supporters. "The source of some of the reporting is said to be the EPL. It appears, therefore, that the EPL has leaked the contents of their letter to some of those commenting in the public domain. "The Club understands that these will be matters of great concern to its fans and therefore considers that, in light of the information disclosed by the EPL, it has no choice but to respond and update its fans in response to this coverage. "The Club makes no comment on the substance of the arbitration, but it can confirm that it has issued arbitration proceedings against the EPL. "It is unclear when those proceedings will be resolved, given the approach of the EPL and its lawyers, Bird & Bird. Nevertheless, the Club will continue to use its best efforts to press for a fair, full and timely hearing of its claim.” The original discussion is about MA/PIF/AS releasing statements to say the takeover is on/off. They’ve all released a statement to say it’s off. Since then none of them have spoken officially to say it’s back on. The statement you have shared is MA potentially pursuing a case against the PL, which isn’t confirmation PIF/the deal are (or ever will be) back at the table. I was answering the question from a poster who said “it’s on until they say it’s off”, my point is - they all have already said it’s off. It’s technically the other way round.... it’s off until they say it’s back on. They’ve said it’s back on? Where? For a start that original statement from the club does not say it’s off and was followed up by the arbitration statement. It literally says the deal has been rejected What about AS’s interview and PIF’s statements? Do they not say its off? Rejected yes and then states the club are considering options, which then led to arbitration and the other statement which followed. Pointless even discussing things with you as you’re ignoring things which are there in black and white. Whether the takeover goes ahead I very much doubt, but, you’re totally misrepresenting the original NUFC statement, whilst will fully ignoring the follow up statement.

  24. I’m not thinking the takeover is going ahead by a long shot, but, why are you not including the statements concerning the arbitration. If you’re going to use official statements to back your point, then don’t only use part of them, which then doesn’t paint the whole picture of what has happened.
