  1. We’ve just gone 14 games without a win and weren’t cut adrift. Five games until the new year, 4+ points from those and we’ll still be within touching distance ahead of a favourable run of fixtures and a transfer window. Everton, Man Utd and Leicester are absolutely nothing to fear and Brighton, Palace, Southampton and Brentford proving Liverpool and Man City aren’t impossible either. Said it numerous times but we’ll be absolutely fine. We’ll finish closer to 11th than 18th.
  2. Absolutely shite again. Literally always one result or goal off. Needed Man City -3 to land a 65/1 bet builder. They were cruising and missing multiple chances at 3-0 and then Ederson hoys one in his own net. Needed Blackburn v Preston to be Over 2.5 to land a 30/1 Over bet. Course they didn’t. And if that wasn’t bad enough, Brighton scoring in the 98th minute sank my 43/1 six fold of Southampton, Newcastle, Sevilla, Shrewsbury, AC Milan and Leverkusen.
  3. I don’t know why I do it, but I bet on Man City to win big and they always seem to go 1 or 2 ahead and completely stop scoring. Either take their foot off the gas, or like today they miss a million straightforward chances.
  4. Didn’t know you wanted them to win.
  5. Grealish has been absolutely awful, somehow, in a team that’s dominating the game. Edit - he’ll score now.
  6. Lock the thread, it’s done. We’re safe.
  7. Agree. If Lascelles has to come back in, should’ve been for Schar.
  8. There is something incredibly cringeworthy with grown men shouting it.
  9. Didn’t even realise he was on the pitch in that first half.
  10. Because it was against Man Utd at Old Trafford.
  11. Absolutely disgusting scenes on the touchline where Carrick cheered the Man Utd goal. Does he not know Arteta might hear him?
  12. New levels of shit posting from Froggy. Managers not allowed to celebrate goals at Old Trafford anymore.
  13. I actually think he did well here. I think he thought it might have been a foul, but did the right thing and blew after the goal had been scored. That’s why when he went to blow his whistle before the shot was struck, he stopped himself. He then asked VAR to check if it was an Arsenal or Man Utd player who floored the keeper. If it was an Arsenal player, would’ve been disallowed.
  14. And next week whenever a team is under pressure, a goalkeeper will throw himself to the floor. Maybe Man Utd should’ve, you know… blocked or stopped the shot.
  15. Anthony Taylor would’ve blown and given Man Utd a pen at the other end.
  16. It is incredibly painful when someone in football boots stands on your achilles tbf.
  17. The quality of the matches on Prime is class but it’s totally unforgivable how delayed the stream is. Should never be watching a live football match and getting notifications on your phone over a minute before something happens.
  18. Gives me massive PE teacher vibes.
  19. Weren’t they the same rules that they tried to use to defend allowing Alex back? Strange that they’re picking and choosing which rules to follow.
  20. So despite completely disagreeing with my assessment, you can only pick out three questionable comparisons as being wrong? Still hardly this massive disparity in quality between the two squads. It’s not a combined 11, it’s a direct assessment of their squads as to who is better or if they’re pretty similar. Made easier by grouping two players together. As I said, the squads are fairly similar.
  21. He’s totally unproven. Third season at Arsenal and he’s got six goals and one assist. Hardly setting the world alight and good enough to justify stating Arsenal’s squad is stronger than Everton’s. Interestingly, Iwobi’s stats over three seasons are remarkably similar. Despite being used above as an example of a shocking squad.
  22. You say Arsenal’s squad is so much better and justify that by saying Everton’s is weak if you take their top three players out? Take Smith-Rowe, Saka and Aubameyang away from Arsenal’s team and you’re replacing them with shite like Martinelli and Lacazette who have scored a whopping two goals between them this season. If you went through the teams: Pickford and Ramsdale are probably on par. Keane and Godfrey are better than White and Gabriel Doucoure and Allan are better than Partay and Lokonga Coleman and Digne are better than Tomiyasu and Tavares Saka and Smith-Rowe are better than Gray and Townsend. Richarlison is better than Odegaard Aubameyang and Calvert-Lewin are pretty close. Arsenal may have one or two better options from the bench, but nobody is telling me they’re miles ahead of Everton as the table evidences.
  23. Just having one is an immediate improvement. I would imagine they’ll start to do serious work in the off-season. They’ve had to pull that together quickly to just provide a basic facility.
