  1. Even taking away the animosity and the way it ended here, which version of Isak would we be getting back? At this stage it would likely be the disinterested, fragile one. Hard pass. I miss the version of Isak which set the world alight, but I'm not sure that version exists anymore, he's been corrupted beyond repair.

    NUFC Transfer Rumours

Since Ross Wilson took over, this thread has seen more Brazilians than Hugh Hefner
  3. Shearer took on the job to try and save his club from relegation at a time that no one else would. He wasn't a puppet for Ashley and he no doubt despised the bloke but he cared more about saving us from drop than he did doing Ashley's bidding. Some times there are bigger things at play and you need to dance with the devil. As for Rafa, he saw the potential of this club and the opportunity to build it from scratch. Inadvertently, his competence gave Ashley the complacency to tighten the purse strings again which is the whole reason he ended up leaving. He was far from an Ashley minion, you could prehaps accuse him of being a little naïve, like the girl who dates a notorious bad boy cause she thinks she'll be the one turn it around and change him for the better. The thing Al and Rafa have in common is that they saw the club as more than just Ashley
  4. I've tried to purge those games out from the bowels of my mind. Thanks for reminding me.......
  5. Good luck finding a more lazy, insipid, tame cowardly performance from a PL team this season.
  6. I'm obviously fucking raging with Villa, but West Ham have only got themselves to blame, they're utter muck. They'll likely be cut adrift by the time we play them so I hope we skullfuck them silly as a punishment for robbing us of a Spurs relegation
  7. If I'm not mistaken, he didn't just start him, he started him on the right wing! I don't think we ever heard from him again until he was part of that rag-tag motley crew we punted to Rangers
  8. Seeing the state of some of the PL clubs who are getting European football next season is gut wrenching, the CL was there for the taking let alone the EL or ECL.
  9. Ah bloody hell just fuck off Villa you useless shitebags. West Ham can get fucked as well, pathetic cunts. Oh well, all in on the Arsenal bottle job now.
  10. The 5th season was a freak of nature. We lucked out on some great signings who all hit the ground running and we earned so many points due to moments of individual brilliance twinned with the fact that so many top teams had rotten seasons. We finished 5th despite him. Pardew's legacy will be the endless derby defeats, blaming losses on everything from the grass length, weather and the Egyptian god of death. The nail in the coffin was dedicating a win to Mike Ashley
  11. Ah, so that's why their mods shut down their forum whenever there's a hint of adversity!
  12. The hatred might have seemed stronger for Pardew because he was the one who took a sledgehammer to the notion that we could become a competent PL club. By the time Bruce arrived, we'd just let the most popular manager in a generation slip through our fingers and the apathy was at an all time high, there wasn't much left of us for Bruce to destroy. But let's not get it twisted, Bruce was a far more despicable, thin skinned, woe is me, lazy bum fraud of a manager than Pardew. Pardew was a like a sleazy used car salesman promoted way above his station.
  13. Time has been kind to Pardew. His reputation has been somewhat repaired with us because he speaks highly of us and he isn't Steve Bruce but let's not forget how utterly depressing his tenure was here after 2012. He made me fall out of love with the game.
  14. Liverpool were so obsessed with fucking us over with their 'power play' they gleefully ignored his injury record, his incompatible playing style and the fact that he was an empty jersey for us for large parts of the season.

    Yoane Wissa

The only positive to come of this transfer is seeing @toon25 demolish him after every game.
  16. He's raw and unpolished but I love his work ethic and enthusiasm. He's starting up front on merit and it's his shirt to lose. Really happy for the lad, he's been one of very few positives this season.
  17. Hopefully asking him which PIF Saudi club he prefers to get fucked off to

    Nick Pope

I prefer him over Ramsdale. In the same way I prefer chlamydia over ebola. If this guy is still in contention for a starting place by 1 Sep 26 then it's borderline negligence from the club.
  19. Fuck off Brentford and fuck off Fulham for ruining every one's fun today
  20. Happy with the win, I know it's been a wank season but finishing 14th-16th is fucking mortifying so hopefully we can start pulling away from that. But jee whizz, some of our players wouldn't look out of place at Preston North End. We're so poor in possession, less huff and puff athletes and more artists this summer please
  21. Wissa...........I have no more words....
  22. Just switched off and saw a barrage of posts about Pope. What did he do?
