  1. Fair enough, I'll concede on Burn, my bad. I was bored as fuck at work and this thread looked like a little bit of harmless fun to keep me occupied for 5 minutes, I didn't devote much brain power to it 🙃

I'd rather watch my own conception than that.
  3. Pope Miley Thiaw Botman Hall Tonali Bruno Joelinton Osula Wolte Barnes Get Wolte to drop off and link up with Osula and Barnes allowing them to cut in, that plays to everyone's strengths somewhat. And if it goes to shit, so what? We're at the stage where we may as well try to shake it up a bit.
  4. To clarify, I wasn't attributing any credit/blame to Howe, the DoF or anyone else for that matter. I read the question as how well the players have done for us from a footballing perspective and if they represented value for money.
  5. Judging on success & value for money (I've factored in the Newcastle tax) A (Worth every penny): Bruno, Trippier, Isak, Hall B (Success): Tonali, Burn, Tino, Botman C (Mostly good): Gordon, Barnes, Thiaw, Ramsey, Osula, D (Underwhelming): Woltemade, Wood, Kelly, Targett, E (Shite): Elanga N/A: Minteh, Karius, Vlach, Ruddy, all the youth players who immediately get farmed out on loan Wissa: Wissa
  6. Hibs are the Spurs of Scotland aren't they? Isn't the term 'Hibsed it' part of vocabulary up there? Used when you're in an advantageous position and conspire to self destruct
  7. Same, Hearts title challenge, Arsenal's bottle crashing and Spurs relegation fight are at least making the end of the season interesting
  8. Hearts vs Rangers next at Tynecastle. If Hearts win that then Rangers are done
  9. I understand the frustration and sentiment, domestic cups usually seem stale and more often than not, won by teams who treat them as an afterthought, but unfortunately that's just the nature of football. This isn't a problem exclusive to England, look at the most successful cup teams across Europe, outside of freak seasons, it tends to be the ones fighting at the summit of the table.
  10. If you're a Hibs fan, surely you're wanting your team to roll over against Celtic and Rangers and do what you can stop Hearts right? God forbid, if we were ever in the doomsday scenario where we're playing against a team who are rivalling Sunderland for the last European spot and us losing the game stops the mackems qualifying, I'm wanting Monty Magpie to start up front
  11. Edinburgh derby is very under rated. Better than the overwhelming majority of PL derbies
  12. Hibs winning and Rangers lose. Shaping up to be a good day for Sellik
  13. Last time they were 2-0 they ended up winning 6-3, still a long way to go unfortunately. As much as I'm crossing every finger and the for Hearts to win this league I just think Rangers have enough fire power to get them over the line

    Nick Woltemade

I just tried that and ended up with Watford. Sort of puts things into perspective.
  15. The cartel, especially the red mafia within that. I know a fair few Newcastle fans have an axe to grind with Villa, Everton and Leeds but I really don't mind them too much personally. Honourable mentions: MK Dons - A franchise club that stole Wimbledon and relocated them 60 miles north, a more detestable version of Leipzig, thankfully their project has been an abject failure and Wimbledon's phoenix club started from the bottom and now play in a higher league than them. Brightfordmouth- Those spreadsheet shagging southerners who seems to have a hex over us. I don't particularly hate them, but they're annoying and I wish they'd all fuck off. Any fascist/racist club- Lazio, Zenit, Beitar Jerusalem etc. Don't think I need to explain that one FWIW, even though they're considered rivals and their fans hate us, I don't feel any ill will towards Middlesbrough, in fact, I'd be happy to see them promoted

Wow, I mean I knew you had rotten luck with injuries but not like that. Even so, do you not think you'll get enough from your remaining fixtures? Villa (a) will be tricky but they've had a few wobbles lately and they've got Europe to think about. Leeds and Everton are on the beach and Chelsea are utterly pathetic right now. Where you think the points will come from?

Spurs: Villa (a) Leeds (h) Chelsea (a) Everton (h) West Ham: Brentford (a) Arsenal (h) Us (a) Leeds (h) I think Spurs have the slight edge with the remaining fixtures but I can see West Ham winning against us and Leeds and that may be all they need.

    Sven Botman

He's far from the worst of our problems but I feel like he's still dining out on his imperious 22/23 season. He's very overrated, as are all our CBs, by and large
  19. Yeah I understand that Wolte and Wissa were very much a case of 'them or nobody' and the people above Howe carry the can for that IMO due to their piss poor planning and lack of foresight. But I can't accept the notion that we're still playing poorly 34 games into the season cause 1 key player wanted to leave. This summer we'll be losing a lot more than just Isak, I want a manager who can adapt and overcome

    Yoane Wissa

A bum, get him to fuck, I hate him
  21. With respect, we spent 125m on strikers in his place, it's down to the manager to make something work, even more so since we knew he wanted to leave in april/may, this shouldn't have come as a surprise to Eddie and he should've planned for this season without Isak. Also, club lose their best players all the time, we can't keep blaming Isak. In the last few weeks we've been scudded by Palace and Bournemouth who lost Guehi and Semenyo respectively in January and with their managers announced they were leaving
  22. Not particularly fast Poor technique Never takes on a man Weak as cats piss Can't cross Not a goal threat No chemistry with full backs Slows the game down Doesn't link up play Pathetic defensively Scared of his own shadow Thicker than a whale omelette Did I miss anything?
  23. I thought he was supposed to off the drink?
