  1. Nearly up there with Derby in their worst ever season !
  2. Bruno could not walk never mind run for most of the game. But surely keeping him on the pitch could risk him for the coming games. I would rather take him off but our the lack of transfer activity has caught up with us
  3. My frustration is that Tino did nothing to deserve being dropped after his run of games ( most as MoM) I'm not sure Burns experience, strength or being a local player justifies him starting over a youngster (can only assume that is the reason?)
  4. Left field.. but surely someone needs to sign Jessie Lingard this window or he might as well retire. I mean the only other player I can think of with such a drop off was Jack Wilshire but at least he had injury problems
  5. I do wonder how close some clubs are sailing to the wind with regards to financial fair play. I bet there is one or two who needed to sell to balance the books but are now sweating as nobody is buying in this window!
  6. The problem for winter loans is that Eddie would bed them in until they were upto speed and hyper fitness. Ignoring Hall... Even Gordon as a perm buy needed the summer break to catch up
  7. Why can't we love both Keegan and Robson with equal measure? Both have been the highlights of my football life and will defend them both to the hilt. I bet if Robson had replaced Keegan straight away, we would have continued to improve or maintain those levels. It still breaks my heart how that team was ripped apart by dalglish and the board.
  8. "Tyler, Dixon need the sack ITV pictures fucking crap No HD for 10 more years Geordie boys are on the beers"
  9. God the commentators are absolutely gutted... You can hear it in Dixon's voice
  10. I didn't think Bruno was having a bad game until I realised he was actually playing tonight!?!
  11. Wonder what he said about... 13 goals later! But to be fair he never did understand the offside rule or that you were not allowed to spit on people so he might have a point lol
  12. Never mind any personal rumours. It's Bayern Munich, one of the top elite clubs in Europe. As much as I Iove Newcastle, I think every players head would be turned if they were interested!
  13. Neither player would have started games at the end of last season
  14. Might be better to agree the contract now before we start paying bigger wages in the future 😜
  15. A different level maybe but the sale of Woods and Shelvey last winter was overlooked because a, the fans didn't like them and b, we got ridiculous fees for them. those sales allowed us to buy Gordan/ balance the books ahead of the summer. So I understand if we end up flipping a couple of our higher rated players this year even more so if it's a deal that will allow us more flex if a long term player becomes available.
  16. Obviously it's because Hope is Bruce's long lost son... And he only popped around his mother's house for the Bacon!
  17. What's the deal with having to pay tax if you leave within two years? I guess only keeping half of your fortune must be a gutter for you
  18. I do wonder if Ashworths success at Brighton was due to them being a plucky underdog and flying under the radar. Our squad could really do with some lower prices gambles but does our perceived riches make that harder to negotiate bargains. Even another of own Perez or Schar would be great right now...
  19. I think the limit should also be reviewed each year based on the most recent window. Chelsea, Arsenal and City spending £100 million plus on a single player massively inflated the transfer window. As much as I dislike them, even Liverpool were priced out of bidding war with Chelsea for Caicedo because of the fee arsenal paid for Rice. And to be fair he never looked a 100 million player before or after they signed him
  20. What it needs is a well run club with rich owners and deep pockets to start buying players... Then who knows the club who sold the player would either be able to balance their books or be able to spend money and buy a replacement. Radical idea but we could even call it a transfer window and everyone could join in.
  21. if it is 10 points and only allowed to be fined once... Let's go spend 300 million and take the hit. But you are right they make it up after the event and we would be relegated no matter what.
  22. I'm not sure Everton have a leg to stand on there... You can lose 135 million over three years but if that all falls in one year, you will have to carry that loss for the next two years reports as well. You can't just sweep it under the carpet and pretend it's not there after you have been fined once.
  23. Wasn't that Nachos debut.. No wonder Keegan got pissed off
  24. I know it sounds daft but the penny has just dropped with your explanation! If anybody bought any other business and had the funds to grow their company there would be no legal rule to stop them?? Yet our owners are unable to invest their money, which even at the going rate, would drop funds into other clubs and gradually feed money down the leagues (minus agent fees !)
