So the proverbial game of two halves lol. Think it was a case of Forest having nothing to lose and us not hitting them on the break as our front line was goosed.

I still reckon he turned us down once he realised Howes focus on fitness and actually running

Looks pre Howe in his self confidence. You can almost see it in his body language. Obviously didn't help when his Grandad didn't back him to come on against Liverpool in the video his brother made. Still to this day don't understand why they allowed that to be aired

It's a win win with Isak and feels a lot like the Andy Cole situation all over again. If He stays well will have one of the best strikers in the world. If he goes the money will fund the next stage of the team rebuild. Just hope we win silverware beige the latter happens

Love this new right winger we signed this year... Must be the secret Murphy triplet

Newcastle United (4) 2-0 (0) Arsenal - 05/02/2025

Poor Sky don't want us to win this like.. -
Did villa not get around this by only paying Rashfords wages and no loan fee. I know it's because his wages are excessive but I'm sure it will become more common with PSR

I think the lack of sponsorship deals is more frustrating than the transfer window to me. Even if it's to the level other clubs do I would be ok with it... And don't tell me there are not ways to get round these things.

Paul Mitchell to leave club by mutual consent at end of June (Official)
RobsonsWonderland replied to 54's topic in Football
It's not a Newcastle problem Nobody outside of Man City, Villa and maybe a couple of other clubs have been spending this window. Arsenal needed a striker and got no one. Chelsea have done nothing (maybe their well has dried up) Even clubs like Man utd couldn't sell players as their is no wiggle room anywhere. Moving forward either transfer fees drop, wages are lowered or players will just begin to stay at clubs until their contracts run out. Without the possibility of new funds being allowed into football or the likes of City buying premier league players then this is no magic wand for the majority -

I don't think it's PSR or Mitchell to blame... The whole transfer market is frozen because Dan Ashworths not had a transfer window in two years. Think of all those South American wonder kids with broken hearts because no one at either club decided to check his list before he left. -

Wonder if it's the same Italian scout who recommended Hendrick to AC Milan... Honestly I never understand football at times -
I personally think there was an assumption that we would be allowed to set up sponsorship deals similar to big six or that the Man city case would be resolved by now. It's unfair to blame the club when every opportunity other clubs have used was suddenly slammed shut. Also PSR is now a league wide issue not just ours.

Not close enough to the detail but how much is that genuine injuries and how many would be cleared up a week after Ange gets sacked?

Miguel Almirón (now playing for Atlanta United)
RobsonsWonderland replied to Deuce's topic in Football
I bet Isak will not shed a tear about all the chances Miggy never made for him. -
Levy will not sack the manager until the window is closed... Saves backing the new manager with funds!
-
It was only at man utd that people noticed Cole missing chances... I don't think anyone ever mentioned it when he was at Newcastle. Obviously scoring nearly every game and us riding a wave of excitement might of hid any frailties in his game

I do wonder if the last big investment on the stadiums name is subject to the planning delay or because of the noise created when Ashley did it with Sports direct. It's a whole different world now due to FFp but if it allowed us PSR transfer funds how much would you sell your sole for?

Did he... I seem to remember him running in from the right / centre and trying to shoot with his left? -

To this day I still never understood why nobody tried him on the left with his pace and inability to use his right foot. Maybe he is just really crap at crossing with either foot and we will never know
