I think left back is best position as he just needs to concentrate on defending and not attacking... Saying that he did play a part in the second goal in the final from the left. I can't have even more reason to hate that goal

I see no difference in the two clubs if I am honest except timing and sales opportunities. The Grealish sale built your squad base and the opportunity to sell players to Saudi for inflated fees was something we were not allowed to do. Yes we have sold Isak and Gordon now but in my head we are two years behind where you are with regards to squad depth and moving players on. People say move Willock, Murphy etc but these were buys pre Howe and the underlying reason is because nobody else wants them for any decent fees. A couple of more years selling high and buying potential may get us there but I can see both teams flip flopping around the the top 6. And if we are honest it helps that the big 6 have been so poor the last couple of seasons or it would have been more difficult for villa.

Top teams have interchangeable squads where players have to buy into rotation. We seem to be stuck at the stage wherever a first teamer drops to the bench it's instantly reported they will leave it unhappy. Which we then end up having a huge drop off from first team to squad players. Nowhere near having a bomb squad like Chelsea, where they are looking to sell internationals not even named in their 26.

Can we not have a strict policy where players names need to fit into a chant! Think of the lads up in level 7…!

I think it all comes down to your personal preference and you can make any story fit whatever narrative you wish to spin. I.e. Last summer was all down to Howe and his bad buys. Or Howe told the club to do their business early and watched them fail on numerous bids for players he wanted. Wissa was a terrible buy and we all knew he would fail Or Wissa scored 20 goals last year and his injury has changed his movement It's just the way football is... Hopefully we get it right this year, buy early, buy the players the manager wants (or at least his 2nd or 3rd options) and try and reunited as a tean and a fanbase

I think we compromised our intensity due to champions League and potential muscles injuries and fatigue. But our quality was not strong enough to cope with even a 10 percent dip in performance

I think every team needs a major refresh over a four year cycle. Always remember Fergie being brutal and building three generations of a team over the years.

He is 34 Having a golden summer at the end of his career but hopefully the club is honest and have plans to replace him or at least not make him first choice

Why put him in the squad if he was never going to play? It did no good for either player or manager and stopped a farewell from those who supported him or even those who wanted to boo him. I know he is a love / hate figure but I will prefer to remember him for the Arsenal semi finals goals more than his petulance.

Now that's all over I can be honest and say that was worse than any season under Bruce. Not the football or the quality of players but the feeling of disappointment and loss of belief. Never had that under Bruce as I had give up hope the day he was made manager
