What is this "winning" thing you are all talking about? Never experienced it before so no idea how either would feel lol

Well I do remember Keegan playing a defender in CM against Germany.... Keegan's team selection for Germany indicated that this realisation had dawned on him. Gareth Southgate, at the time a centre back for Aston Villa, was employed as a holding midfielder just in front of the experienced duo of Martin Keown and Tony Adams. His selection ahead of the likes of Dennis Wise and Paul Ince, two veterans in the position, represented a substantial risk - but at least it was one Keegan was willing to take. Southgate, in Keegan's mind, was to be the insurance policy in midfield that protected England against Germany's incisive counter-thrusts. But Southgate had played in the role before in the early phases of his career, notably at Crystal Palace, to no great success - indeed, he was only seriously considered as an international player when employed in the backline.

Thinks it's the old bid low. unsettle the player that he is missing out on his dream move. and then meet in the middle which will still save them 15 million on fulhams asking price.

I think he will be similar to Lee Clark, Aaron Hughes... Go onto have a decent career at another club. Another 100+ games whereas if he stays here is will gradually move down the pecking order as we begin our upward spiral

Too be fair if we can't beat Iceland we will have no chance against the bigger teams such as .. Sainsburys or Asda

Honestly we have a front five/six with over a 100 goals between them and we somehow turn them into a squad who struggle to even get a shot off.

Biggest complaint from Howe was that we never trained the first half of the season as we were back to back games.. well now is the time to see if that stacks up. I also wouldn't mind any of the players staying as long as they know that purples are coming in and they either fight for a place or leave if they are not up for the challenge.

When you have such a prime number one striker it does prove difficult to get a second equally as good , fully fit back up to sign up and be happy. Much like Shearer or Kane at Spurs.. shearer might have been easier in that we played with two forwards back then but whoever come is now already knows they are second choice or at best play Europa or games when Isak is unfit. I feel Wilson is too much on alpha to see that as a viable option.. but maybe signing for a club to be first choice and then getting injured may make him think that a super sub is where he is in his career right now. Maybe that's how we see DCL fitting in.. someone who with his own track record wants to rebuild not being the main man

I still think a top team has two quality keepers... Look how Man City's keeper come on and effectively won them the league (although I still think Son missed in purpose lol)

A dislocated shoulder is a pretty bad injury for a keeper.. maybe we are just hedging our bets on having two quality keepers

So if Man City win the Final... Can I count that as Newcastle winning the FA Cup! Honestly with our track record at Wembley it's nailed on Man U winning

101 goals for the season... If only we had last year's defensive record!

The Ref should be allowed one look on video in real time speed from the angle of his choice. Thats all he gets during the actual game so why make him watch ten times in slow mo from every possible angle.

Our midfield is also a core part of the problem and with Tonali, Willock and Big Joe fit we would have so much more energy and drive in the group. The three lads we are left with look exhausted (longstaff always does) and at the moment they are neither supporting defence or attack

It's almost like the media want to disrupt us in the run in.... Reporters should have to state their club loyalties like refs do
