Manchester City - 115 Charges Case for Alleged Financial Breaches Begins
RobsonsWonderland replied to BUJ's topic in Football
I think the fact no other club is following Chelsea's lead or copying their transfer policy suggests to me that others in the game are waiting for something to fuck up or be investigated. It's either genius or ballsy -
And Souness said you would win nothing with 11 James Milners...

If we have to switch the four fullbacks I wonder if it's worth having one senior and one junior on the opposite side for a while. Sometimes the two young lads look a bit raw together when we are playing away games.

How many of the top players were signed before the last five year period? It's quite easy to spend less when you assembled a fantastic squad that just needs tinkering around the edges or you have a Foden coming through. -
Craig Hope @CraigHope_DM Follow Eddie Howe is the smartest man in the building at St James' Park. It is staggeringly stupid that the head coach is in a position where he has to defend himself against comments made by the club's new sporting director. Right this sums it up all for me.. Hope wrote it in the first place, called it Civil War, stirred the shit all week and now writes this crap about Howe having to defend comments that he helped perpetuated. The guys a whopper and cares only about his standing, clicks and has a negative vibe throughout his coverage of Newcastle.

On one hand I like our strongest performing Manager in decades. On the other hand I like the proven Director of Football with a successful pedigree. Theres only one way to decide...

Can't see Howe choosing Hope as his mouth piece. And hope would not keep quiet if he did
-
Hope is nothing but a doom merchant at best or a shit stirrer at worst. Numerous examples where he aims low no matter where we are in the League or as a club. But in the modern world of journalism... Clicks matter not the number of papers sold. A reporter is now able to be judged by his bosses on how many hits his stories get over others.. whilst in the old days it was only paper sales

The worst Newcastle player you've seen in a match

Jak Alnwick.. which might be a bit harsh with the fixtures he played but you could see his confidence fade with every goal conceded -
Would like to see Foden with the freedom that Jack has the last two games. Still think he has more ability in the middle, whilst Grealish was almost on Gordons toes most of the game.

To be fair they have some tasty fixtures. However when Uefa have capped away tickets at 60 pounds, it's doesn't sit right that they charge 50 percent more for home tickets. Maybe exec boxes as an exception but I think their should be an upper limit for all tickets -

But if less people can afford to buy all 4 home game tickets the increase will be less -
Can't find the article but is there any new details or just assumptions based on nothing of substance

Never seen him before.. I'm a little surprised

I keep saying it but allowing us to villa to spend would have benefitted clubs all the way down the pyramid. And I don't even mean the mega buys but players in this league We could have helped Everton out of their money issues. We could have bought Toney and allowed Brentford to spend on replacements. Crystal Palace would have got what they want earlier in the summer and moved on. Or dare I say Chelsea and their Bomb squad. By stifling new money, there is only a limited cash pool within the game. -
I think he is right in principle that other clubs do try and squeeze extra money out of us. People have said that on here since man united tried to rip our eyes out over a loan deal, villa bought the CB on a cheaper deal then we bid, no way would we get elanga for the 15 mill forest paid. So maybe the players we did buy would have went elsewhere for less then the fees we paid. We just don't know because we paid the extra money to get the deal across the line

Shearer hitting the post in the FA cup Final v Arsenal. Can't share a clip as I've never watched the game back after being there on the day. Probably nowhere near but God it would be great to see us score in bloody final once in my life time

Captain Steak Bakes (now managing Blackpool/revising history)

Well y'na.... He is the new Joe Kinnier -
I'm not sure I agree to that extent. I believe from their other activities PIF would have invested the maximum amount that was allowed. If there were no restrictions we would have seen a vastly different squad to what we have now and I dare say some of the players that have ended up in the Saudi League.
