  1. Anyone thinking the club isn’t open to this is naive. Getting £££ for any players over 30 is good business now and what we need. We have the 3rd highest average age of squad:
  2. Bent-er. To the point it feels like it’s going to fracture.
  3. One of two will go I reckon. Probably Trippier. Wilson in the summer.
  4. The Premier League is just bent now. Spurs, Arsenal, Man Utd and Liverpool lobbying for FFP to safeguard their positions. City circumventing it, Chelsea making a mockery of it.
  5. That’s fair fucks to them - I wouldn’t want us hamstrung to buying Phillips and Hall this summer. Plus the £10m outlay/gamble is too much for us. West Ham are sitting on Rice profit, they’re in a good place.
  6. Apologising in advance for use of Daily Heil: https://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-12885459/amp/Aston-Villa-Premier-League-stadium-plan-hold.html
  7. Burn or Longstaff. Bruno would be my choice because he’s a leader and absolute heartbeat of the side but depends on appetite to make someone captain with a clearly flagged and publicised release clause on their contract.
  8. He’ll claim it’s what he wants not an actual deal…unless it comes off and he’ll claim to be an ITK.
  9. Palace are the 2024 version of Mike Ashley’s NUFC. Do barely enough to eke out a place in the PL. Nothing club.
  10. Any decent fee takes the pressure off selling Onana for lower money. Saudi again helping our rivals - definitely a two pronged approach, not all the eggs in the NUFC basket.
  11. That’s the problem - if they do they won’t as they’ll want better. Almost a case of get to playoffs, miss out and sign him for the next season.
  12. Fraser doing well at Southampton - got to be someone willing to hoy at least the last £5m - £6m of his wages as an option.
  13. Agree but there’s something going on here, no strong denials coming out of journo world at the moment.
  14. 3.5m off the wage bill frees capacity for Phillips for half a season.
  15. Form went to shit, pulled out the England squad for personal reasons, now this. Something afoot.
  16. Seems a massive bellend
  17. Knocked out the Carabao early, Farmers League clubs padding out their CL Group, Pep’s magical “pick me up” potions and players just returned. Plus a quality crop of youngsters he can turn to. Not that bizarre.
  18. I don’t question his technical capability, only his injury record and availability. We need robust players. I also wouldn’t want us paying the EPL Premium on him to Lego Head’s mob.
  19. Tripps gets to hoy his bratwurst about whilst solo in Munchen.
  20. Cracking if it means we stay away from him. Seems Laaaardan through and through.
  21. Loan swap - Kimmich to us, Tripps to them. Allows everyone to take stock in the next financial period. Our CM problem til end of season is solved without spending big bucks. Tino beds in at RB.
  22. Honestly, could get an Onana-esque player for a third of the price on the continent. Don’t see the appeal at all. Premier League hardened? Aye, but his position isn’t the riskiest transition of a role unlike say a Germany based striker. Would rather pay half that for Fofana.
