    Joelinton

My mate who's a city supporter cited Jolelinton as their biggest issue today. He was constantly harrassing them and he said he was the biggest issue for them and the biggest disruption to their usual play. I know Bruno is our classiest player but god Joe puts in a shift.
  2. Thank you to both posters above. I know it seems bonkers but the regularity of such occurances raises questions. It seems to happen again and again to the extent that it no longer feels like a single bad referreing job or a single bad VAR job. As if it is organised and deliberate. I'm aware this makes me look like a conspiracy theorist so I'll withdraw from that assertion. I won't make any further comments on it.
  3. No need to over analyse, it was clearly a yellow and nothing more. In some games it wouldn't even get a yellow. Personally I hate fouls as they break up the flow of the game and injure players. I'd make most yellows a red that would have elimated half of City's team far before ours, without a bias ref of course.
  4. Who was VAR for this? Have they ever had to answer for this ?
  5. There were 10+ incidents such as this, are the refs paid off for certain sides or is there an ingrained bias? I won't say "incompetence" as it's clearly deliberate but to what extent? Is it organised corruption or just a general ethos?
  6. Without VAR we'd have one less goal and a sending off. If that doesn't highlight the corrupt refereeing I don't know what does.
  7. The video of the Stones foul on Schar has been copyright claimed on Twitter, despite being a short clip and other clips not being claimed. I guess that says it all.
  8. He's our best player, different level. Joelinton's efforts help him to be that though.
  9. I agree, being able to control possession and tempo in a game is more important than upgrading Almiron. I love Miggy but yes a quality alternative is needed, however with his work rate and improvement, a top CM is more vital.

HE'S BRAZILIAN, HE ONLY COST 40 MILLION
  11. This season? There's only been 3 games and he's played well in 2 of them.
  12. Ah memories, light the corners of my mind
  13. He was still pressing and chasing even when he was exhausted. I cannot fault his commitment at all today, superb.

    Nick Pope

Amazing player, he oozes stability and calmness. His distribution was good too, his long throws are great.

He's so good I just don't understand it. He's like a marauding beast his strides seem bigger than everyone elses.
  16. For billionaires they are pretty incompetent.
  17. Hopefully Maddison doesn't sign the new contract and we get him in Jan or next Summer. It's nice to feel that we are above Leicester now, after being below them in the standings for quite some time.

There is no Newcastle tax as far as I can see, the market is absolutely insane due to the popularity and riches of the Premier League, literally every club is overpaying for players. Have you seen the amounts being payed for average/above average players. We are trying to be shrewd, every signing apart from Chris Wood has been insanely shrewd, we've signed England's best goalkeeper for 10 mil, absolutely incredible. We're doing great just enjoy the next couple weeks.
  19. Hopefully he doesn't get injured after 1 game.
