You can have more respect but they’re less loyal. For whatever reason they stopped going.

People who didn’t go or wanted to go when it suited them started to want to go again so wanted a bigger ground regardless of what it meant to the ground in the 90s. Then they stopped going when they could go and now want to go again so want a bigger ground regardless. And there are more of them than people who actually go and will keep going.

We’ve just had a survey asking if you want to sit on a couch watching a tv for 12 grand a year.

They had forums for home and away ticketing in the summer and came up with something that works for very few people so doubt they’re arsed about what the survey says. They can say they consulted the fans after though.

They could sell 10k season tickets now and choose not to.

They were asking how much more you’d pay for a ticket in a new ground. So it would be a new stadium and near enough a 1000 pound season ticket anyway. Have one bad season and you’ve got 50k rattling around a 70k stadium when Fulham at home is 50 quid a ticket. Argument will be don’t have to charge as much in new ground but that isn’t what happens.

Where have you been where the atmosphere is better than the old one?

Don’t know any set of fans that have gone to a new stadium and prefer it to the old one. It’s sonically poor yet nearly every player and manager says how good the atmosphere is. Couldn’t care less about it hosting anything other than Newcastle games. I think going much bigger would be too big.

Baffles me that anyone who has been to a new stadium would want a new stadium.

The atmosphere is better now than it’s ever been since the ground got extended in my opinion. Away ends have got worse, not just this season but this season has been particularly poor.
