  1. Between agents desperate to move clients and one or two clubs picking up the phone to ask if a deal is still possible I can see a raft of rumours if not signings. We'll also likely see one or two leave on loan.
  2. Monday is going to be mental.
  3. The victim is not to blame. Period.
  4. There were tweets that surfaced in which he slated Spurs and Kane. That saw him get a torrent of abuse.

As much as I loved that day this is SO much worse - dare I say their lowest ebb in the modern era. That day against us they had a bad first half then suffered a red card and even then it was a Premier League game in which we had an in form Andy Carroll leading the line and in the form of his life. They were a steady PL team too. This was 6-0 against a midtable Bolton side that didn't spend a penny on transfers to get promoted under their current manager. The striker who scored a brace today is one of two players they've paid money for in the last 18 months, and he only arrived this month. Sunderland have outspent them and Johnson has had about nine games fewer in charge to implement 'his vision'. A loss by a two or three goal scoreline is embarrassing, but they were categorically outplayed by that same team and Johnson looked a broken man after it was over. Even if they go up this year, unless they spend heavily they're coming back down. Their owner, hailed as a saviour, hasn't spoken publicly in months and can't say how much he owns. He's increasingly looking like a public face that allows the previous owners stay involved and make decisions. The pitch is a state too. I was quite depressed towards the final days of Ashley, but fuck me, I've no idea where you find optimism there. No one wants to buy the club, it's a mess.

He was also flicking the Vs before Christmas.

This has been such an odd deal. I'd like us to sign him FWIW and I thought when there was talk of them wanting to replacement it would happen. Not sure what changed.

Can't be doing that. That money was secured through a deal with Abu Dhabi wealth fund. Wouldn't want to be a hypocrite.
  11. Me. I'm sure he's a nice guy, but he's always trying to position himself as someone that knows what's happening without ever actually breaking stories or adding anything. A lot of the time he's just parroting what Downie has said or another colleague.

Never really understood why they got Johnson in. He's never broke 40% win ratio and bottled countless plalyoff attempts with Bristol City despite getting a good budget. A big part of that was his infamous streaky runs.

They'll love the idea their little man is an anti-vaxxer.
  14. His last few months screams 'fresh start'. I think if there's a chance we can get him a move we should.
  15. I like him. I think there's a good player in there with pace and intelligence and he seems a good egg.
  16. I mean, they gifted us one, but also had their keeper pull off two worldie saves to deny Shelvey and Willock and we could have had a penalty.
  17. 39 was his Dad's taxi number in Brazil. He's going for that.

Dan Neil is a good player for League One, but even there he's not dominating. Idiots.
  19. He said earlier in the season he'd happily join Liverpool even if it meant sitting on the bench. Brentford took a punt on him and it's got them both into the Premier League. They'll sell if a good offer comes in, but saying shit like that is disrespectful.

    Jesse Lingard

I think Man Utd are trying to be smart and play hard ball, but there's literally no benefit to him staying. He has too many friends in that squad who will be impacted if he's denied this move.
  21. If they suddenly drop his price then that tells me something is off. West Ham can afford to loan him back which helps, but I'm not convinced he moves.
  22. I always feel like history is revised with this kid. Same too with Armstrong to a degree. They needed to leave, they needed to play, and having the safety net of a loan doesn't give them the pressure needed to develop. He's looked handy this year in a team that struggles to create, but I'm not convinced I'd be desperate to get him back. There's something about his attitude that doesn't sit right with me.
