Everton for starters when we played them - we won putting them in the relegation spot and he fist pumped in front of their crowd and down the tunnel in front of Everton players. He got a lot of slack for a really bad dive and play acting when Everton played Liverpool with pundits going as far to say he’s getting a really bad reputation for diving. We all know the incident against us. These alone are more than Toneys “on the field / match day” antics and all I’m saying is Howe feels Toney is a good player I don’t expect him to be put off by what he’s done - bearing in mind he did score more than any of our goal scorers last season and that’s for Brentford.

Yeah but they’re better than most - he’s got 63 goals in 111 apps for Brentford with 32 in last two seasons. I think he’d be good.

They’ve also been very unlucky - hitting the post a lot etc and I do feel at any time they’ll start getting points on the board. Hopefully that change of luck won’t be today though.

My dads a Sunderland fan and has always described Gordon (since this season started rather) as a better, premiere league version of Clarke.

Sunderland evaluated him at £15m and to be honest in think it’s a gamble worth taking. He’s always busy and a handful, think that’s why Burnley kept coming in for him.
