As well as Wissa or instead of?
-
Thanks for letting me know, still waiting for the day when they match day thread posts is better than we play đŸ˜€
-
It's worth having a glance at the table right now
-
I actually can't see the game - at my grandsons birthday so checking this forum from his party but reading a fair few comments since the game started saying he was poor today. As I say though I need you take others word for it as I can't watch the game today. Edit: Brunoooo (not seen it though, just joining in)
-
You move tino too RB whose going lb?
-
No idea how / why has become one of the undropables - Barnes must genuinely be fed up with knowing no matter what he does he won't ever be first choice for a run of games.
-
Is it in the Plan A? If not then doesn't sound like it

I think we all hope that, if you're a Newcastle supporter you'd have to be a moron to not want him to come good for us but as I've said a few times before, I work in Nottingham and go to the Notts office 3 days a week. Speaking with several Notts forest supporters none of them were gutted he left and the actual feeling was we've overpaid and he's not that great.
-
Words like that thrown around to much by journalists, my favourite is when they say things like "he spectacularly signed" - how exactly, did he enter the room holding a pen followed by a marching band.
-
Also we had one guy up front who was getting around 40% of our goals alone and we've lost him trying to rebuild and rediscover our identity as you put it may be down to that somewhat as well. Not totally making excuses as you're right we have been bad away from home but talk games a week, losing Isak but still playing the same way as if we have him can't help.

I don't know a lot about their finances just what my Sunderland supporting dad tells me but he says as they played with kids basically to come up and took a few seasons to do it they came up and had no debt whatsoever as well as selling a few of their acedemy players and Bellingham last summer I believe they brought in a bit to offset their selling last summer. He seems to think they can spend a bit and reckons they will need to as he hopes they'll be looking for a younger long term replacement for Xaha as well as a goal scorer which will cost a lot.

Coupons - are they still going?
-
Yep but just checked as they drew with Everton and palace and beat Brentford - out of the top 10 they've only lost to man United.
-
Fair enough but still a good set of results
-
I think they've now beat arsenal, beat Chelsea, drawn against Liverpool and man city - oh and villa as well. You have to say fair play to them for getting 9 points out of those 15.
-
This made me smile as I was thinking the exact same thing.
-
Yeah probably wrong forum - I didn't mean it was the managers fault just more I'm looking to him to somehow fix it I guess.
-
Nothing he said about tactics, changes etc are wrong though but also everything you wrote is spot on as well. I would say we are underperforming a lot this season and if we can't agree that is it 11 points thrown away from winning positions isn't a sign of something needs to change there then I don't know what we will agree on. Even taking that penalty off the table we should have got at least those two points and been in 7th off our own backs but at the same time the season is far from over as January could turn it around - that's the main point I took out out of his post.
-
Of course they're not a sure thing but if you're saying player x is way better then player y - look at how many goals player x has scored and he's the nominated penalty game and all of those goals bar one were from penalties then it's not a fair comparison to keep them in there.

I live in Leicester, my wife and her 4 brothers, her dad and all their kids are Leicester fans with some being season ticket holders and they speak highly of him. My step daughters husband (another season ticket holder) likes him a lot but that's just my linked.

Problem is I've seen him been given several different roles that 'he'd be great at' in this thread alone. Could / should he be used to rest the likes of Tonali occasionally, should he rotate RB, should he do both or something different? He just seems really good at all of them which is a great problem to have. Not sure I agree with the he's wasted in RB as Lewis hall started off as a box to box midfielder until tuchell in 2022 moved him to lb and nobody says he's wasted there, we all say he's one off our most valuable players. Interesting problem to have I reckon
-
He's not good enough for man city yet.
-
Fair enough but two were from penalties and only one from open play and Barnes hasn't had as many minutes (Gordon has had 526 minutes, Barnes 269 on the left and 71 on the right).
-
Annoying we have a perfectly good different LW option at on the bench. Gordon would be dropped to backup LW for me and tell him he has to earn his place back. In 2026 i would like to see a lot more of players picked on form rather than the undropables we have, it can only improve us, LW is one of the positions he can swap around and play same system but he doesn't.

Miley himself also gets a little credit for it as well.
