Just throwing this out for shits and giggles - get a more attacking lb / bring target back in when he’s fit to release left side more, play burn as a kind of dm role to still allow the back three and cover, this will allow Bruno to get more forward and drop longstaff. As I said this is purely for conversation so don’t jump on me and slag me off ?

Villa shoot like us

It’s part of the game, plenty others do it as well - shearer was also very skilled in winning fouls back in his day.
-
haven’t got a problem with it. I do hate crowding the ref and think it should be punished somehow.

£45m plus dubs or £50m plus dubs and wood -
Nah - I just think it’s rose tinted glasses both positevly for your team and against others. Every team has fans that do it, I lived in north London for 17 years, knew a lot of arsenal fans (still do) and like the spurs fans I know - they’re all sound and I can have a decent non biased football chat with them.
-
It is but aim for the stars and all that - just because it’s a tall order we should still do everything we can to give it a shot (within reason)
-
The above tweet also reflects that - statements like “no interest in the likes of Aston Villa or Newcastle” - the sooner we stop getting grouped with them then the easier to get targets over the line, CL will do that and they’ll be well aware of there things.
-
Agreed on process driven but they’re also very good businessmen and that includes adapting to situations? Us flying in third and having a genuine shout is a situation worth adapting to? Not gonna complain either way as they have a plan and it’s worked so far.

Jesse marsch did say after the game that he spent a lot of time preparing for his corners and set pieces. Seems to me with doubling up on miggy and working on neutralising set pieces he’s watched the Leicester highlights and set preparation up accordingly ? for me watching the highlights - the problem wasn’t the delivery but the finishing. Wood, long staff and schar were given more than good enough chances by tripps but it just didn’t happen.
-
You think he’s up for it - seems a massive ask stepping into the best defence in the league, lot of pressure.
-
I think our standing and gunning for Europe may just make them rethink and back Eddie, CL is a massive incentive
-
Totally agree about him not putting a foot wrong - maybe ASM does work much better with him, if he’s out for a while do you think we should for a similar in window or not?

Leicester does seem a good shout to be honest, wouldn’t surprise me -

Maybe Howe wants him involved in our training more so he knows what’s expected of him if called upon in say cup games or something -
Fair enough - he’s not back to himself just yet.
-
Thinking about it - the way Tranmere kicked shit out of us then palace and Bournemouth playing the way they did in the cup, we’ve not had a a chance to play nice football yet in the cup.
-
ASM does this to opinions / conversations every time so I’m gonna back away ✌️
-
After yesterday I agree - need to be more ruthless where teams sit back and waaaay too many shots skied yesterday where they had plenty of time.

That is odd -
Maybe I’m being too harsh on him but those three games you list - Bournemouth in the cup we got through with an own goal, Leicester game - he didn’t effect the score in any way as he didn’t yesterday. All I mean is this is arguably the hardest game of the season - the team top of the league, playing away from home and I don’t think he’s gonna be a magic bullet so to speak. Really hope in wrong but as it stands I just feel arsenal have too much for us and they’ll beat us regardless, I see this as a free hit.
-
Howe will have a plan and will be interesting to see what positions we buy for as I said in the other thread - 3 games where teams have played for the draw and got them (Palace, Bournemouth & Leeds) have not only cost us 6 points this season but told others the best way to go about coming away from SJP with something. Howe will obviously know how to tackle this problem and will be interesting to see how - maybe that is with a new CM or upgrade wood, let’s see.
-
ASM’s been awful last few appearances where he’s come off the bench - not sure he’s fit enough to be this saviour just yet people are wanting him to be. For me this game has come too soon for us as I really wish isak was back for it as he looked class against Liverpool
-
For me go all out for a Botman / trippier quality more conventional fullback as you say as I feel somebody who can bring our left into play more gives us more options to switch things up with them and burn waiting on the bench. We could really start using the five subs rule more to our advantage in games like yesterday.
