Being micced up is the one way to stop people from assuming corruption/bias. The mic doesn't need to be on a live feed to TV or radio but just at certain points where its interesting/necessary to hear. If referees/linesman and all match officials want to remain in a job n the next 10 years with all these introductions of automated officials then they need to get a grip and change how they do things.

It does irk me that the VAR panders to the referee on the pitch so as not to be seen as overuling him but if that's the case you'd think the ref on the pitch would relish the opportunity to go to the monitor and ensure he's made the right decision.
  3. Disappointed with this news if it's true. I wanted some over the top Texan businessman in a cowboy hat to buy them.
  4. As good a signing as that would be I think he'll be off to a Champions League team. He could go to any top 2 team in any league and still get crazy wages because he's free, no reason to come here really.
  5. Won't be £0 though. That was just the initial fee or non fee as it were, they will pay atleast £20m for him by next January if he makes 30apps (which he should do in 12 months) and they are paying him 100k a week during that time. Not worth it at all.
  6. Rudiger, Christensen, Azpilacueta and Musonda Jr are the only Chelsea players out of contract this summer. Arguably other players still in contract may want to leave depending who buys the club.
  7. Strange really, how they could've possibly been favourites against Wolves is anyone's guess. Bookies seemingly just expecting something to click and they start winning. Don't see it happening myself.
  8. Just going from that and general form over this season, you'd say Norwich are gone already and Leeds could yet go either way but certainly need to win against Watford. Burnley conceed alot fewer than the clubs around them so should get a couple of wins in those 6 pointers they have left. Everton have a horrific run of games and will need to pull off a shock or 2 against top 6 teams as well as mustering some resolve to beat relegation rivals to have any hope. Watford are so inconsistent it feels like they could either pull themselves out of it in the next month or be confirmed down before their last game. They've got better with Hodgson so I can see them staying up.
  9. Good shout, had slipped my mind as he's been injured for so long and seemingly isn't due back this season. Still wouldn't be my first choice of midfielders but i would be pleased if he came in. Would work well as a double pivot with Bruno and suits a pressing team. Not saying I wouldn't be okay with some relagated players coming in but I don't think there's much quality in that bottom 5/6.
  10. No shit! I also saw that Chelsea still owe roughly 70m to Inter for Lukaku. So I doubt they'll be selling hin anytime soon as I can't see anyone wanting him for anything near that.
  11. Watford v Leeds on 9th April and then Burnley v Norwich on 10th. Alot hinges on those 2 games for those 4 clubs. Everton play us and then West Ham before playing Man U on the 9th so that weekend will be massive in the relegation stakes.
  12. Not sure I'd want any of them. Raphina is the only one who comes close and even he has shown in recent weeks he is the same as every other wide player, he blows hot and cold. Norwich, Watford, Burnley, Leeds and even Everton have no player I would be desperate to sign in the summer.

    Jamaal Lascelles

Definitely worth a bottom 6 Prem side taking him. Middlesbrough, Huddersfield, Blackburn would be good for him if any of them get promoted this year. Or ofcourse Burnley as has been mentioned. If Grant Hanley and Craig Cathcart can play Premier League football so can Lascelles.
  14. Last game before the break! Would be great to win this convincingly but any win will do really. Just need to go off on our training camp in good spirits and well withing touching distance of the teams above us. Hopefully after the break everyone will be back to full fitness and we can begin our new unbeaten run till the end of the season. Everton are there for the taking, just concerned we're getting to the point where we have just one too many injuries to function properly. One injury to Wood or Targett/Burn in the next day or two and we look so much weaker.

Also, how much of a shirt pull would cause a player to go down, arguably in that position a shirt pull would keep Murphy on his feet. Therefore how much shirt and how aggressively does it need to be pulled before you get a foul. Or is shirt pulling only for non penalties now else they'd be giving them during every corner and free kick

The fact the he gave the corner says that he thought Chalobah got the ball, he didn't ofcourse and that's where VAR should be telling him to look at the monitor! But as we know, they didn't.
  17. Isn't 100% fit clearly. Will need him firing against Everton. Fairly average for the most today against tired legs.
  18. Don't want to give that last game anymore thought than I already have. Glad this one is coming quick! The players will want a chance to get back on it.
  19. No one on here should be bad mouthing Chris Wood after that. We had so little of the ball (27%) and he closed down everything and chased and did what he could against 3 CBs. So few chances created today, would've been a miracle if he'd had scored. Everyone talking about this game being a free hit and then getting on his back immediately because he hasn't single handedly won us the game.
  20. Feel sorry for the players, they didn't deserve to lose like that. Chance to put it to Everton now and show everyone how we keep going.

Imagine we actually NEEDED to win that! I'd be incensed. Stonewall penalty ignored(not even checked on VAR as far as I could tell) and Havertz getting away with an extremely dangerous and high elbow. Goes without saying its a different game if both those go how they should of.
  22. Damn Almiron! Good half for everyone. 2nd half Is going to be much harder.
  23. Southampton will come back. 2-1 at HT.
  24. That line up has shook me to my core. Don't know what to make of it. I'm holding judgement till HT.
  25. Harsh to write him off just yet. Toney and Armstrong are 2 obvious examples that players can come good after actually getting some game time. Not saying he will ever be good enough for the Prem but he's better than L2 for sure.
