Wow. Just one game too far for us playing shit and getting a win it seems.

Well that's a shit start

Anyone made the joke about how we had to play AC Milan, Dortmund and PSG while Villa are literally playing against a team of Young Boys.

He seems angrier than normal this season and it feels like that's affecting his performances. Perhaps a confidence thing after missing so much of last season and not ending it particularly well either. He was actually pretty decent for the first 20 minutes against Wolves, but a couple of bad passes and a foul (that wasn't a foul) that the ref didn't give his way and the game got away from him.

He can play in CM instead, next to Bruno and Tonali, it's all good.

If it was classified as concussion then he has to take 24 - 48 hrs full rest before resuming any training and even then that training may have to be lighter than usual. Not so sure it would be concussion if it was due to a nose issue. But that raises the point of how he would be able to perform or train if his breathing is affected temporarily due to the injury.

How long do we expect this to take? A few weeks? A few months? Does this rumble on until the same time next year?

Other than being better at everything on a football pitch than Longstaff it's also a massive help that Tonali can swap with Bruno at times and allow some fluidity in the middle. We don't have that otherwise.

Once again, we played well for about 35 minutes in total. The first 20 and then the 15 minute period in which Tripper came on and we scored the two goals. The rest of the game we were sloppy in possession and quite passive in defence, whilst also not particularly threatening. Fulham are arguably better than Wolves so we need to do better next week for sure.

That's been one of the biggest issues in every single game this season. Hasn't been solved as of yet.

We're going to have to be far more dangerous in the second half if we're to have any chance of getting something from this game. This is the exact situation Wolves will have wanted. We will need to attack them now and they can hit us on the counter.

Wow, that's a big let off. Unfortunately this squad has a lot of athletes but too many technically inept footballers.
