Now wait a minute Froggy, you are also better than this "Newcastle eyebrows were raised when the forward's representatives told those who made enquiries that he wanted to more than quadruple his £45,000 per week wages at Brentford." Cunha is something like 200 000k/week? Mbeumo will be pretty much the same of course.
-
I didn't say right winger has to be playmaker, but he has to have ability to create. Murphy is already someone who can cross the ball well enough. That just isn't very effective way to score.
-
I disagree, but fine. "Kick and run past player" doesn't work when opponent is camped inside it's own box and there is no room. You can see that with Almiron. He was pretty useless against low blocks. That is why we need technical ability and footballing brain. What we need is a left footer who can shoot and cut in, and pick a pass. And press like Howe insists. I would say neither Elanga or Madueke are, for the price they would require, good enough. But enough of this, I happily disagree with you.
-
Forest play counterattacking style, and that is the reason why Elanga has had relative success. I would say his ability to beat a man in stationary situation is quite limited. We need players who help us unlock deep lying defences, Elanga certainly is not one. Forest's form dropped when teams started to sit back and knew they couldn't break them. For a 60 million or whatevere our RW costs, he needs to have a decent shot, good 1v1 ability and eye for a pass to create for Isak and others. I would say Murphy has 1,5 of these 3. Elanga has pretty much the same. I am not saying Madueke is certainly the right player, but he fits a lot better. Not knowing his personality.
-
Madueke has more G+A in fewer games. Better team yes, but we don't need a player who is mostly a counterattacking threat. At least for at the price Forest are asking.
-
Madueke is someone who can actually beat a man 1v1. Elanga is a speed merchant. But I would like neither to be honest.
-
Elanga rather than Madueke? What?
-
Most likely we didn't "choose" Barnes... These stories mate.
-
We need to replace Murphy with a lot better player who will start. He is great team player, but nowhere near good enough.
-
Yea, but thing is usually the CB is the favourite to win long balls. Beto is so strong he can actually win those. Long balls to Isak are not a good tactic
-
He really doesnt play much/at all short passes. In national team that is a clear problem, cause when the ball is played to Pickford he boots it up almost rightaway. there are a lot better GK with the ball in EPL than Pickford. Lot worse too.
-
I find it odd people say Pickford is good with the ball at his feet. I mean better than Pope yea, but awful still. He always kicks it long and that is problem for England also.
-
I would say McT had a pretty strong season, and if Ugarte and Mainoo are even better? Wow!
-
I have no idea if links are true, but Gerard Romero is a Barca mouthpiece and a fan, so wouldn't trust anything he says.
-
People with scoliosis usually have other shoulder slightly higher. He just might have mild case of that.
-
Again would cost a fortune and is not that good
-
Most likely will not affect this window. Surely we have targets looked well in advance. Really need a new one, Eddie has to work with someone, right?
-
Thing is, with our needs and FFP, we really cannot buy players like Joao Pedro for 60 million. Firstly, he is not that good and secondly that gets us nowhere
-
He is just someone who doesnt run with the ball, Bruno G isnt carrier either. Just his style is to move cleverly and he is ahead of the game often. But certainly a great player, no doubt about that.
-
Of course he cant do ”everything” elite level Froggy and you know it very well. His attacking ability is excellent, he creates loads of opportunities and has a great shot in him. But he is not very good defensively and not a ball carrier. of course he would do well at Real, like Bruno G would. There would be so much talent around him. He wouldn’t walk in Real or Barca, but neither would be weaker with him starting I would say.
-
Calm down people. This is a polite way to say thank you and goodbye. Most likely our offer is so low and he isn't playing here, so obviously he is going to leave. Would be quite surprised if he stayed here playing 5 games a year.
-
"Established players" certainly doesn't mean they have to be from EPL. Isak and Tonali were established players for example. edit. We have pretty much 2-3 players to sell that actually someone will pay for (Willock, Longstaff and maybe Targett) But we already badly need GK, RCB, RW, striker and at least 1 CM, 2 if we sell either of the above) Lets say we can spend 150 million, which we most likely cannot. Mbeumo 60 Guehi 40 Trafford 20 That leaves 30 million to spend on 1-2 central midfielders and a striker. I would be shocked if we are after more than 1 of these highly rated EPL players.
-
I can pretty certainly say that we will not be buying in EPL much. Mitchell really has different kind of style, and we need so many players.
-
If/when players sign new contracts, they are likely reported by the media. New contracts usually are longer but I haven't seen this. Might be, no idea but I know this kind of clause is used or was used a lot by ManU
-
I understood this clause that there is a basic wage, and it is slashed 25 % when there is no UCL and raised 25 % when there is. Not that it keeps cutting it every year after year.
