Not a single bad game, MOTM contender if every one. Not sure what has improved us most, his threat in attack or his pace in defence. We look like such a more solid team and complete team with him in it. Really fucked Southampton over with this one.
-
Apart from his finishing I thought he was excellent yesterday.

Newcastle United vs. Manchester United: 2/12/23 @ 20:00 (TNT Sports)

This isnt the game to rest players, maybe next vs Everton. -
Dont have that much of a problem with the ref. When he gets called over he is getting put under a tremendous pressure to overturn the decision, especially when it is for the home team.
-
Competent refs decides that. If we cant have that then fuck off with VAR.
-
Yeah VAR would be perfectly fine if it was only used by competent people with its original purpose of only overturning rare blatant errors.

Champions League 2023/2024: Group F (Newcastle, Milan, Dortmund, PSG)

Bookies give us 8/11 odds to win and PSG 11/10. Gives us about 30% chance to get top two on paper Think they are way to optimistic on PSGs odds though, they havent been any good away from home. -
One thing is for VAR not to overturn the pen if the ref had given it. But for VAR to step in and claim that the ref made an obvious error with that "handball"? Its insane.

Id say 35% chance of CL, 40% chance of EL and 25% chance of going out of Europe. Looking alot better than it did yesterday. -

Milan, but away goals in head to head is not high up on the tiebreaker list. Goal difference in all group matches comes before. -

Dortmund are obviously going to go all in vs PSG. Price money for the win itself is not insignificant. First place in the group means an easier opponent. They are playing at home against a big european club. -
Still a fantastic result. Milan seems to be there for the taking and Dortmund is looking like they are in an excellent form. If they want first place in the group they cant lose against PSG. Think we have a bigger chance of advancing than before todays result, and a much bigger chance to stay in Europe.

If thats true it must be because we have alot of old reserves. Our first team seems pretty young if you ask me, especially if you count Livramento in there from now on
