Cant see loan signings and Eddie Howe fitting together. No need to waste Eddie's ability to improve players on someone we aren't going to keep.

Well it depends how desperate they get this window. If they really really want him for the long term future i dont necessarily see £20-30m standing in the way. Him being homegrown in England is also something they need.

Then they wont get him. Unless Tino himself pushes for it, which is hard to see happening.

Its a special situation this summer with City needing a RB and might be fearful of a transfer ban. Maybe only 1-2 other clubs that would ever consider buying a fullback near the £100m mark.

With a new RW there is little reason for him to be pushed out there anymore. And even with Eddie favouring Gordon there should be plenty of game time next season. Atleast you would hope he has learned to rotate a bit more after the last CL campaign. Really like the idea of Barnes coming on the last 30mins after the defender(s) get tired trying to keep up with Gordon.

Hard disagree on this one. Gordon from the 23/24 season could get in almost anywhere.

I mean if someone can do it its Bruno and Tonali. Both are at the top of distance covered stats. Never stops running(well if you can call what Bruno does running).

About £25m left on his book value. So that would be a £55m profit. For the next season we also get rid of his £2,6m yearly wage and £8m in amortization. Thats means a wiggle room of £65m looking from the perspective of the next season alone. Lets say we split that in £40m in amortization and £25m in contract costs for new arrivals. £40m in amortization = £200m in transfer cost.. Essentially means that we wouldn't have to worry about PSR at all this season atleast.

Not going to be able to replace what he does defensively. But surely we could get in a very good RB at half the price who is more the finished product in the offensive part of the game. Dont have to be as young either. No rule that says we have to replace the player like for like. If we also get in a fast RCB we wont miss his speed that much. For sure understand that people dont want to let go of him. But I do think the potential money we could get from a sale could help us build a stronger squad overall, especially in the short term.

Lets keep in mind that he is far from the finished product in the offensive part of his game. 1 assist and 0 goals in 3500 minutes this season. £80m minimum though, and thats if he requests to leave.

To me it can make sense if we can get what he is worth(£80-100m?). Allows us to build the squad required for CL. From what i've seen his best position clearly is LB, been fantastic there almost every game and only ok at RB. So we dont really get to use his full potential when Hall is available.

Why is he bringing in a soon to be 35 year old Henderson?

We will have more than enough if we sell Gordon for £70-80m. Thats something like £50m in profit. Amortization on purchases of £180m would just be £35m this season. Have to add in extra contract costs ofc, but we already have some leeway after getting rid of that 22/23 season.

We dont need to sell now, can wait until January/the end of the season.
