At an educated guess I’d suggest that their own league is of level, if not more importance to them than Newcastle United. They have invested far more money into it than they have here.

The ego of these top (or once top) players often becomes their downfall and they go out sad for it. He played plenty before getting benched and wasn’t dragging them to results like he seems to think he would be, the new contract is now looking costly. I don’t think he’s completely fell off in less than half a season, it’s just that team is dogshit all round and all the individuals suffer for it. However he’s done nothing more than any other player to dig them out, he should stay quiet.

You’ll be waiting for a new manager as well then, because Howe won’t sign a winger of that ilk. System fitting wingers who can feed a good striker above all, last season Murphy was god on here.

I think Wissa and Elanga will complement each other massively

We wanted him for years. If he was preferred over Ramsdale as it appears he was/is, and he’s available for the right price then I hope we do it. He’s a genuinely good player and I think would flourish here. Unfortunately for him he fucked his start up at City which is what it is but we’d be looking at this guy being our starting keeper for years and years to come. I think his ceiling is higher than Ramsdales, who would be a fine starting keeper for us in his own right.

It'll be a typical measured, passive away performance that we've been used to this season. Understand we have to carefully manage fitness levels and such with the schedule but im still waiting to see a game where we look comfortable enough on the ball to play that type of game, this one most likely wont be it

Can’t judge him on the central role, it’s not his game. However mentality is this guys downfall, he’s not what he thinks he is right now. We know how good he can be, it’s frustrating. A big ego, I reckon he’s difficult to coach. He can easily come good again, Howe has players rising from their ashes and Gordon is nowhere near that bad. I have a feeling he may be moved on in the summer though.

Rotation is a must, I don’t get the crying. We have a squad that needs to be used, schedule is hectic af. Same people would moan if we didn’t rotate and they all look knackered at 60 mins at the weekend and we lose for it.

It would have been Pedro/Wolte and Ekitike/Sesko/Wissa That’s a wildly different list of players (wide,#10s/SS,9s) not sure if you mean them all as strikers?

Howe has no choice but to use his squad, and Gordon has been good in the CL

Not many teams have the benefit of a winger like this one, a player that can come in anytime and be lethal in front of goal is a blessing.
