Hes also been kept out by a consistent Burn and the emergence of Hall, I think he’d have got a run in the team at LB if not for Hall coming on so quickly. Great deal for us and he’s a decent player, hopefully he gets back into playing regularly for them.

I’m not saying he’s ONLY good in transition, I said he is great in that role. He’s a decent player outside of that, and I advocated for signing him in summer ‘23. I don’t feel his attributes are best suited for us anymore though, and I think we could get more out of a different player. (Forest would also want big money for him now).

It’s a huge offer, obviously healthy for PSR. But I think they went with the short term gain option, and could still sell him in the summer for the same or more? Not sure they felt like they needed to snatch at that deal and sell a first team mainstay mid season when they are chasing a European spot. You also need to consider their current PSR position, did they need to sell? And did he want to go? Two sides to this coin.
