I do agree with you entirely But there’s a part of me that feels we are letting ourselves down with performances like tonight even with all of the above, I think we have lost a little of the heart and soul that Eddie has carefully cultivated since he’s been here Theres no edge, there’s no fire. It’s all just very, very flat.

Our finishing the last couple of matches has been diabolical
-
He smashed it at Elanga from like 1m away
-
The kind of edge we lack right now
-
And people moan at the wingers for it, it’s not their fault
-
Want Wolte to be much braver, more physical If he had a nasty edge he’d be twice the player
-
Think that’s a bit extreme
-
No sarcasm here, I’ve been saying the same for a while Knew this season would be a struggle but the injuries have made it a lot worse than it could have been
-
You know it’s bad when there’s half time subs
-
It’s an incredible ask to get this side performing consistently under the circumstances/schedule, squad ain’t deep or fit enough
-
The right side is just to fragile
-
Barely even had to jump
-
Murphy having a generational right now
-
Whenever Barnes hits those with that kind of space I’m just expecting it to go in
-
Seems to have learnt from seasons past, brilliant work really.

The level of commitment that the guy operates at is total obsession imo. Most characters like that get burnt out at some point and this season has been brutal, the summer will be a nice refresh for him I reckon.

Shite, waste of space and such and such

Very clever finish

I think he feels like he is

He’s not quite clicking with the press yet, he needs time. Some of the new players have really suffered from the schedule/lack of time training I think (Wissa, Elanga). Hes missed chances he should have bagged but that’s football, much like the rest of the squad he’s not exactly riding on high on confidence. It seems to be mostly already forgotten on here that he had a freak injury and was out for the entire first half of the season, I think he can be afforded a little more leeway than he’s currently getting here. I think him forcing the move while Isak did what he did has tainted him for a few people and some were waiting with the knives out. Him and Elanga you will see the best of next season I believe, assuming we don’t get CL qualification anyway.

He’s just a fuck up, no serious team will put up with him

I was also one of the people on here backing him, even before the u21 World Cup he had (I didn’t like him before he signed, but rated him as a player.. just thought he was a shithouse). Anyway, he’s just not who he thinks he is right now. It’s not solely him, the whole team and especially the wide players have suffered with the teams general unavailability but like you say it’s a lot more mental with him. Hes full of big talk but I havnt seen that actually play out on the pitch, and Ive said time and time again but I think his ego has become bigger than he actually is. It’s a shame as he has it all to be a solid player for us for years to come but I’m not sure he realises it now, I think he’d be better off starting again somewhere else. He’s one of the bigger fish in the pond here, and I don’t think he’d make that step up to a Liverpool say.

Really needed to score that sitter, poor guy got an instant confidence killer after that class goal
