Chelsea are the real obvious ones. Doesn't matter that they have about 36 of them already.

I ultimately don't see this happening, but it at least should give the doubters/worriers enough of a sign that club is trying to make big moves this window.
  3. Whilst I would normally agree wholeheartedly with the 'standing still is going backwards' sentiment, I think our squad next season maybe the exception. The Tonali and injury situation was such that last season I can't think of many/any games we could field a full strength 11. We started pretty strong, albeit with out Willock. But it was all downhill from there.
  4. An actual success. My first successful ballot entry since Fulham last season. 1/2 When I select seats on Friday is that the usual random queue type thing? Going with the father who can't manage level 7 these days.
  5. I'm actually pretty optimistic we will still do both, it just may go down to the final week of the window for RW. But I also think said RW will be seen as Isak/Bruno level. Like, all the Bowen links earlier in the window.. no one else notice that they have just signed another wide forward player despite already having Bowen and Kudus?
  6. I feel like if people are going to keep bumping this thread now every message should either start with 'NO NEW INFO, DON'T PANIC' or 'FUCKING PANIC LADS'
  7. It's not quite the same. It was the injury to Wilson that prompted us going back in for Isak. We were (by all accounts) on the verge of signing Joao Pedro until Wilson picked up that bad injury.
  8. Every top 6 side in Europe were in for him last Summer. That's only barely an exaggeration.
  9. As hard as this would make all of us, there's no way it's legit. I actually think we could do 80m, but it wouldn't leave much left for other business this Summer.
  10. He's in photos on the actual store page.
  11. Not impossible, but given whats been said about our budget, it will be tough in the 30-40m range we seem to be shopping in for a CB.
  12. People still not learned to never believe links to Barca players?
  13. Same. Really think he is the type of player Howe could work wonders with. Tall, fast, strong, technically good. I know there was the pen incident last year, but I don't hate that, just shows how desperate he was to do well.
  14. Reset the count for 24/25 0/1
  15. I mean, that's obviously specific to certain groups, but replace 'pubs' with places to eat, things to do, shops etc. The city centre location is huge, but you only really notice it till you go to one of these grounds that's actually 10-15 miles outside the city.
  16. This can't be emphasised enough. Was at Wembley last year (granted it was for wrestling not football, but still) and if you want to go out on the lash anywhere decent after it's a massive cock on.
  17. This is true of pretty much every player not currently in that 'elite 100m+' tier. Botman was seen as slow, Isak not prolific enough, Gordon there was more negative than positive.
  18. I feel like the 'out of nowhere' aspect of transfers is it can seem like there's no interest at all, then suddenly you get a reliable journo like Ornstein suddenly dropping 'Newcastle in advanced talks with (insert club) for (insert player we've never been linked to). Growing optimism that ta deal can be done.' From there things suddenly slow down and its a week plus till its actually all done. We've not done the Villa thing of signing players out of nowhere yet.
  19. Normally I would be, but it's the tantalising prospect of a RW coming in at some point that has me distracted/excited. Especially with the noises that were around the other week re it likely being what would considered to be a marquee signing. Who the fuck knows if that's changed, but I'm excited.
  20. Feels like this one is building to head. Wouldn't be shocked if it's at the 'fee agreed' stage by the weekend.
  21. A few journos have spoken about the need for a 'reset' after Mitchell was hired. Which makes sense, I guess then question is more, would it have been a better idea to get the window out the way then appoint Mitchell? Personally I think it's been done in (just about) enough time before the season starts/window closes. Think we will start to see stuff moving in the next few days.
  22. Anyone having issues assigning tickets to different people linked to you?
  23. Can't help but feel like he will be this Summer's Minteh. Could be the only time we actually see him in a toon top.
  24. Pretty sure Toney could go and start at Arsenal.
  25. This has become one of those things people say so much that it's just accepted as true now. He is building a team around Botman, Bruno, Tonali, & Isak...
