Genuinely think he has priced himself out of a move anywhere. Imagine soon pundits will start talking about the need for 'clubs' (us) to be more realisitic in their valuation of players in these PSR restricted days. If he doesn't get a move to one of the cartel 6 in the Summer Sky will be livid.

That's when I still had my season ticket! I know what I saw! (To be fair, the bar was very low for what looked 'decent' that season)
-
At least Obertan had that one purple patch of a few games in Pardew's last season (was literally about 3/4 game run where he suddenly seemed decent). Put's him one decent run ahead of Antony.

As long as any new crest isn't shite (like a lot of modern ones tend to be) then I don't really mind. People go through all this hand wringing about the current crest like it's been about for generations. It's only been around since what, the late 80's. Obviously it's a cracking design, and it gets associated with the mid-90's glory years, but it's also seen Championship seasons, the Ashley years, losing 5 in a row to the mackems. I'm fine if they want to take a crack at updating it.

Agree on Dibling being the main target, but it will be a Summer move. Even if Miggy goes. Think the form of Murphy, combined with the presence of Barnes, Gordon, Willock, and Isak all being able to play wide roles likely means we'll feel like we have enough to see through to the end of the season.

I'd actually disagree, I think Pope showed a lot of improvement over the season that we finished 4th. Main thing that's causing his decline now is his body seems to be starting to break down. Trafford is a young keeper who has a lot of natural improvement ahead that comes with experience. Combined with Howes track record of improving players could well see him become a beast over the next few years. With our PSR situation we aren't going to go out and sign some 40m keeper put them on the wages they'd want in the next 12-18 months. It's going to be someone like Trafford. Fee around 20m tops, wages likely won't be much more than Dubravka to begin with. He will grow with the club. Same way the likes of Hall and Tino are.
-
I think there's more than enough there that if we do sign him the usual improvement Howe and his team are able to get out of players should turn him into a top level keeper.

Tottenham Hotspur vs. Newcastle United: 04/01/25 @ 12:30 (TNT Sports)

This puts me in the same uneasy position I had pre-Man U game. Their injuries, and now sickness abscenes, combined with our form makes us the favourites, surely? I just have issues processing that in any game away at the 'Sky 6'. -
That's PSR sorted.
-
Also don't forget other clubs in the top 4/6 are allowed to sell their dregs to Saudi for big fees to get the wages off the books, but the second it's even suggest we may do the same the very fabric of football integrity is unravelling.
-
The time Howe takes in introducing new signings I'd say (unless we sign a RCB this Jan) there's a strong chance Schar at least starts next season as first choice in that position.
-
I know it's especially poor for them atm in terms of injuries/suspensions, but this 11 Man U field on Monday may be the worst one we have faced at Old Trafford. Massive opportunity to get three points. If we're full strength and tney're having to play the likes of Casemiro, Mainoo, and Eriksen against Tonali, J7, and Bruno I may even make us favourites. Can't remember ever thinking that going into a game at Old Trafford.
-
They'd need to add an extra £50m to that 83 just to get the bit where someone on our side picks up the phone just to laugh at them.
-
This lot are properly shit. Unbelievable given the sums they've spent over the years.
-
Honestly, first order of business in Jan should be getting this guy signed to a new deal before any new signings. If Trippier and Miggy go that should give us some extra wage space to get it done.

Sven Botman: could return vs Ipswich (Tindall)

Nailed on for his first start v Bromley I reckon. Hopefully gets a few runs from the bench between now and then. -
The Arsenal fan cycle on social media. Claim Isak is the best striker in the league. Say he is nailed on to join them in Jan/the Summer Balk at being quoted £100m+ for the best striker in the league
-
This is either BS, or means we may be moving for Trafford in Jan. It was supposedly close to agreed in the Summer before we fell down the Guehi rabbit hole.
-
All of you chatting like it isn't going to be Dubravka, which it absolutely is. He's been the number 2 all season when available.
-
Krafth will (rightfully) be extended. Whilst we may have some breathing room PSR wise by the Summer I doubt we will be in a position where we can afford luxury's like a back up RB. I think Schar we will want to extend, wouldn't be shocked if he hangs fire to see what the craic is with us signing a right sided CB. People like Lascelles and Burn (when the time comes) won't have the same kind of options I imagine Schar is going to have iuf he decided to leave on a free. Could do well in Italy, Spain, or Germany.
-
With the USA about to head into a home world cup it's absolutely the higher profile, higher paying job at the moment. That being said it's also the sort of job I imagine he will ditch as soon as that tournament is done. Regardless of how well they do.

Dan Ashworth (no longer working for Manchester United)

Jesus. I know things aren't great for us at the moment, but I really think in the long run we will see just how big of a bullet we dodged losing this guy. -
No. Fucking. Way. Don't get me wrong, I love him as a character, but he is toxic. Eddie will (and should) get the season. But if we finish below 7th he will be gone then.
