  1. Tbf some of our support spent a lot of time banging on (correctly) about Sports Direct’s abuses of workers rights, then post-takeover couldn’t stop talking about how the new owners’ human rights record wasn’t our concern at all. Football fans will turn a blind eye to owt if they’ve got hope.
  2. I think the lad is a good player, but I thought he was injury-prone? Would be concerned if we’re signing Willock a treatment room friend
  3. True, but there’s almost zero chance of him doing much at the WC. Top players in mediocre teams rarely leave a mark.
  4. Yes, I don’t think he’ll give a shite. He’s a mercenary - I don’t think he deals in sentiment. TBF, I struggle to give a shite about the WC.
  5. I doubt he gives a solitary shite about not winning the World Cup with Sweden
  6. No, we can’t. He’s already about 10% of our amortised transfer costs for the season. We can’t sign two centre forwards and have him twiddling his thumbs, however satisfying it is. If he stays he has to play.
  7. We can take less next season if the number is £150m, but the only taker so far has offered £110m. I note that a bidding war hasn’t exactly commenced - he could be worth a shitload less this time next year.
  8. I’m beyond hating the cunt at this point - I’d like him to just fuck off. Not to Liverpool, just off.
  9. It is, but don’t worry, a can of worms is preferable to a can of Lilt
  10. Champion - I’m off to celebrate with a sharp glass of Lemon Fanta. None of that pineapple pish
  11. Fuck Lilt - Lemon Fanta makes my day
  12. A release clause inserted into it would be likely demanded and also give the player the confidence that if a big club comes in next summer they can trigger it and he’s off.
  13. Being moved into a competition you’d be one of (if not the favourite) to win doesn’t seem like a terrible fate tbh
  14. That only works if we’ve signed two centre forwards beforehand. If they think that’s happening, then they’re as unaware of our summer dealings as I’d like to be
  15. Absolutely - which given the nature of the project, will be parametric level estimating to support a budget with whacking great big contingencies attached to it. I’m assuming that getting business case approval through PIF will be similar to investment-level business cases elsewhere - and you’ll be dealing with 0-2% design maturity. It’s a thumb suck at that point - you wouldn’t be going to contractors etc at that time.
  16. If true, Isak has a fucking serious climb down to perform - no chance Liverpool are coming back with a bid in line with what we’ve asked for. His first action should be sacking his dickhead agent.
  17. Looks about right based on the club’s accounts
