Anywhere easy to display it / will it be allowed? I have been to nee Wembley to see Whitley Bay and North Shields play but even that was 14 snd 8 years ago respectively so cannot remember

  4. That makes sense but it didn’t actually confirm it - you had to work it out for yourself (simple enough for most I Ona but..). Need a new Head of CRM / Supporter comms in Summer :-D

tbf to the mackems Millwall ran away!
  7. but we didn’t less than 18 months ago and yes I know why but as much as I dislike some elements of it football is a business and you can’t not look after your loyalest customers. I get and respect people who’s life situations have changed and totally support the reimbursement of LP fir those who gave up STs in protest and now have returned. I also feel for younger fans but a generation ago many youngsters were in the same position during the mid 90s. A ground expansion and a decline in fortunes helped alleviate that. It might take one of those (praying the first) to make the situation better for this eras younguns

Does anyone keep a record of which end we kick off attacking. We kicked off towards the gallowgate versus Soton which is rare we usually if given the option kick off towards the leazes and then towards the gallowgate 2nd half (at least since the 1980s it might have been the other way when the Leazes was the main end). iirc it’s also done due to a slight decline towards the gallowgate end for tires kegs second half. anyway I digress but it seemed strange watching them defend the GE 2nd half not attacking it.
  9. They might have incorrectly assumed that once the NUST board were asked they would have canvassed their members opinions or had some insight. In reality they prob sent them an outline of what they were considering and Brian Blessed and his pals looked to see which pot they fell in and then said "fkin class" and give the club the thumbs up.
  10. You are 100% right I think @TheBrownBottle said it best a few posts up: "To me, a supporters trust’s board should view itself as a group of delegates, not representatives. They should simply be there as tribunes to deliver the majority views of the membership, not to give their personal views without the express support of the majority - i.e. act as a representative. I cannot picture Martin, Hurst or Robson keeping their personal views to themselves, nor in viewing themselves as simply delegates to take the trust’s views to the NUFC board - they want to be heard, want to feel special, want to schmooze. The fact that they’d clearly never thought that their position on the board might raise eyebrows is testament to their egos - I mean, we really shouldn’t give too much of a shite who is on the board, as I’d expect it to be filled with otherwise anonymous supporters. " I hope it won't take the club too long to clock on to their standing among the wider fanbase and not the RGS / Church High old boy / girl network
  11. That many? I don’t know tbh just would never expect any of the bigger away faves to drop below 100 points in that case and most do
  12. I’d have put period 1 at 80 plus loyalty points. I have 411 but went to all cup games so doesn’t affect me but know some lads that have been impacted same as you. anyone think the Trust / TF lot must have 25 / 26 points….

the Trafalgar Square / Covent Garden shit does my head in - it’s not new, it’s just new in social media . We did it in both 1998 and 1999 and the jocks have done it ore any England v Scotland international. I assume most well supported provincial clubs who aren’t regular finalists do it.
  15. I know what you mean but they only returned them when the majority had been sold so fairly impossible to be resold and maintain segregation. I think Southampton overestimated their own fans demand / optimism
  16. In the gallowgate it was very good imo until they scored . I think then it’s the nerves we have one if the oldest average age crowds iirc - I’m 42 and I sing and get into it but not like I used to if I’m honest. One of the negatives to our loyalty over the years is that there’s less radge younguns than other clubs and there’s (strawberry corner aside) not as many focal points for them to congregate as in the past . anyway we did it. The Newcastle way granted - nee good for my heart / blood pressure that …
  17. Been working in Darlo on train back its buzzing. Just left CLS everyone on the cans. I now need to decide drop my bag home (fawdon) or hoy in left luggage at central station. I’ve already had 3 pints so I’m reckoning the latter option is best

That's fair - the significant minority of posters fall into 2 groups: local lads and lasses but don't go to games or are southern exiles who now sneer at the region and it's people.

    Football pet hates

you have to remember at the top level must have been in a bubble shielded from average life pressures since they’ve been 14/15 in some cases. It’s probably exactly like being at school just more cash and blart

it was Ant wasn’t it? And he crashed and was completely off his chops iirc. in reply to others normal punter would get a fine in the region of £700-£1000 assuming they were on a median regional salary. Nice contrite post from Big Joe. Learn from it and move on. Let be without sin cast the first stone.
