  1. I kna I kna. Putting OoO in and having another hour in the scratcher
  2. they sent an email saying every period will take place - inferring that every period would have some chance in the ballot. I’ve just seen a tweet from the club saying following period 4 all the tickets have gone. it’s early so apologies if I’ve got owt wrong here EDIT I’m wrong read tweet on here that looks like it’s official but it’s not. Sorry need coffee
  3. Hurst implies in his bio that he was heavily involved in the set up of gallowgate flags now wor flags. Do you mind commentating on this - is it true or is he embellishing slightly?
  4. Wonder who will take responsibility for the incorrect info they ensured yesterday? Hopefully it sets in some realisation of their true place in the scheme of things
  5. It would appear that a lot of the cannier / more down to earth TF contributors have jumped ship (Norman Riley, Marc Corby) for 2 and most video content features Alexander Hurst and Charlotte Hope- Robson. Thus might be dissatisfaction at the conflation of the Trust and TF, the lack of representation or maybe just coincidence.
  6. “ The questions were ones where we had no personal interest or opportunity to gain so we don’t give a shit” Brian Blessed
  7. Can someone post a link to this alleged possible rail strike ? iirc they need to give at least 2 weeks notice. But realistically they’d not announce over a weekend so we should know tomorrow either way.
  8. Not sure why they haven’t minuted the Q&A in terms of member engagement it’s possibly the most important agenda item to the wider supporter base.
  9. Tbf to the trust they’ve at least got an answer to this question (assuming it’s correct). However if they’d consulted their membership rather than the board just greenlighting the clubs (on the face of it decent process) then they might have cleared this up earlier and been able to better communicate to their members and other supporters alike.
  10. 100% agree. I’d also honour David Kelly in some way. If he didn’t score that goal v Portsmouth then it’s not worth thinking about where we’d be. How Joe Harvey has nothing as the last manager to win anything is also a head scratcher.
  11. I’m going to the match but just a heads up for those not from Newcastle bringing “families” a lot of pubs showing football will not have licences that allow under 18s in. The likes of spoons and that won’t show it.

    On this day...

Keegan first game as manager 31 years ago today. 3 nil v Bristol City. A pivotal moment in our history. Also Clarence Acuna’s birthday!!
  13. it’s outrageous that those of us who’ve been will have watched Whitley bay or North Shields. But looking to the positives they both win their finals. Howayyy
  14. Paullow, you’re spot on kidda. OCOCOL ;-)
  15. Brian Blessed and Charlotte were consulted and said it was ok .. so you can’t completely blame the club
  16. exactly. we all love the club but it’s natural that those who have put the most money through the till will be rewarded (I appreciate those who boycotted because of ashley might now be disadvantaged but I’d guess a lot if these will know enough people to source tickets anyway).
  17. I never got one but just logged in yesterday and purchased one - reckon you’ll be fine mate
  18. akways a couple on strawberry place / St Andrews too. Even when we were shite .. can’t have seen that as being too profitable but …
  19. it’s a bit counter intuitive and doesn’t work but hey ho
  20. prevent overcrowding by keeping ticketless fans away and also trouble basically
  21. me too but whilst I would have booked SS years ago today I opted for the adjacent block to let the younguns have it - I expect uk be standing all the way through anyway as I’d imagine most round us will be regular away supporters
