  1. And not a single one, as per the point, mentions them going out of business. Only into administration like has happened to countless other teams who there was no mourning for and probably just further hardship that most of us have experienced and they haven't.
  2. They're not going to go out of business and nobody is excited about the possibility. But other than that.
  3. Sums it up for me. Plus pre takeover Man City fans were a million times better than those other five c*nts were and are
  4. Hope they get a parade at SJP before one of our remaining games.
  5. The same few teams would have and were winning the league every year before Man City and Chelsea. From 1987 to the rest of our lives Leicester would be the only team that won the league other than Liverpool/Man United/Arsenal without being either 'financially doped' or spent more money than they made without risk depending on your perspective.
  6. Its just pointed out that he spent the most money the year he first won the league. You could apply the same sort of table to Man City of late, they'll have spent a lot less than Chelsea and for this season probably Liverpool just the same as Arsenal in that one. Mostly because they're established and the others are chasing Presenting opinions as facts is what started this whole thing. The idea that its callous of Man City to sign Arsenal players but fine for Arsenal to do the same to less rich clubs can only be opinion and the foresight to know they were building something special with Clichy and Adebayor is 100% opinion. Another reason I hope they win the league is this woe is me attitude of the elite clubs.
  7. Signed Sol Campbell from their bitter rival in acrimonious circumstances, participated in the ripping up of the Ajax 95 team. Wenger was fine with spending a ton of money when it was only Man United that spent more.
  8. Nobody had any beef with Man City pre takeover and now they don't even feel like the club they used to be but a new club. So its hard to care. Arsenal have never been liked but weren't loathed like Liverpool and Man United. Liverpool are odious.
  9. financial doping is cheating but preventing rivals from spending money they have isnt at all
  10. To the home fans would be even better. Mirandinha style
  11. Congrats to and chuffed for all involved. Such good vibes from that whole environment.
  12. Like the cut of that Body's jib.
  13. Oh yes, nice cross, nice header. Was getting like the other games I've seen there with the chances going begging.
  14. He had a touch of the Gerry Francis' in that interiview, head down, not looking at the camera and stuff. He got his arse handed to him here anarl
  15. We might easily have overachieved had it not been for the injuries or even just a average amount of them. I'd stop doubting a bloke that proved me wrong after every tricky patch he's gone through but that's just me. No doubt the cycle will repeat next time we don't win.
  16. We've done really bloody well this season factoring in the injuries. I'd have taken this with half the players out we've had. Probably would have took not much short of this at the start of the season.
  17. Wonder what new protectionist and competition hobbling legislation Levy is writing on the back of his napkin now
  18. Give me tracking back sir and you can keep your match winning wonder goals out of nothing
  19. its an Achillies Paradox. Whilst ourselves, Villa etc. take a step in that direction, because they can say 'were established, and they've been cut off at the knees' their sponsorship ought to be bigger than ours and the gap widened. Behind the scenes I bet they cant believe they've got away with it.
  20. Its such a swizz. I'd feel like a thief in the night if Hall or Shepherd pushed for this and got it when we were ensconched in the top 4 nevermind 6. Good point made earlier about sponsorship, clubs cant sell potential anymore limiting what they may receieve, further entrenching things. Protecting clubs from financial problems and ensuring no clubs can overhaul the now self appointed elites shouldn't be mutually exclusive. It basically ends even the fantasy of a Jack Walker which has been the hope for almost any set of fans to improve their lot. Brighton and Brentford are cited as models but the Brighton's and Brentford's of the past (Leicester, Norwich, Boro) didn't sustain their purple patch. Man City and Chelsea did.
  21. First time Cantona's gone for a song since Howard Wilkinson decided to sell him to Leeds bitter rivals for a third of what he'd pay for Brian Deane half a year later
  22. Don't like the idea of all time tables having in brackets by the clubs how many points they've been deducted so as to make sense of the wins/draws not totting up to the points correctly. May as well open another table like goal-difference. Suppose its worth messing with things like that so Spurs and the reds have an easy life though.
