McFadden has been good on co-comms - just refusing to go along with Wilson's hyperbole and pretend the game isn't woeful
-
Haven't checked the Germany/Switzerland match but the Germany/Switzerland match - this is dire Scotland are more hungry than Hungary
-
Used to pretend to be a right thesp at this point in international tournaments and watch the less obvious "other" game on Eurosport
-
Set up like France 98 for Scotland. Expected defeat in the opening game, battling point in the second game, high expectations of winning their final game but get turned over royally and finish bottom.
-
Cant even do some player trading in close season despite the club having a very good record at it and despite him being our best manager in 20years without the claws coming out. Already dreading not being 1-0 up against Southampton after 15minutes.

There'll be plenty more moves like this made unless ffp f*cks off, made a total meat market of things like this and sucked all romance out of it. Am certain part of the reason players like Minteh are signed by clubs is to sell them with it merely being a bonus if they get any discernable first team game time.

If there's nothing in it financially (bound to be though with the wages) PL ready is better than a risk on someone from overseas, cant really take risks with margins as tight as they are for us anyway, so if that's why they're doing what they're doing I see the logic in it and yet they nailed it with Isak and Bruno

Like Anderson. Like others would take him over Longstaff. He's definitely competent which sometimes carries local lads more than it would anyone else and if were passed him as ever being a starter, especially in the BS FFP era, probably makes sense. Not bothered one way or the other on this one. Would be happy to keep Anderson and not bother with Killman and trust the club if otherwise.

What a shit decision.
-
Shouldn't be going on about it like its Andy Cole like. And that was by choice not forced by bullshit FFP rules. And that still worked out fine.
-
Was a poor shot selection either way - a side foot in that situation, they're always liable to lift
-
Copa starting. The first one I made a point of watching was 95 and its etched in my mind like fingers down a blackboard Martin Tyler saying "they call him Dolgeta, the Goal -getter" I remember thinking 'I bet they don't, in a Spanish speaking, call him something that makes sense and rhymes with his name in English' Dolgeta the Conseguidor de objetivos doesn't have the same ring to it
-
Since its Copa America time, to round of the Conmebol region Uruguay: Francescoli Chile: Yanez Bolivia: Erwin Sanchez Peru: Nobby Venezuela: Rondon Colombia: Tino Ecuador: Alex Aguinaga I guess just for reminding me of John Voight on Anaconda

Like how they've structured the games today. Starting with a match between two nations that have barely won a finals match Then a midcard match between two mediocre football nations with one trophy in ancient history each Culminating in a main event between two real big boys
-
Deserved that for the overall and Jovic individually, was a man possessed in the latter stages.
-
Game between them in 2000 was good fun (in the guise of Yugoslavia (Serbia + Kosovo/Montenegro). Yugoslavia were going out with a whimper and being well beaten until Mihajlovic threw a strop and got sent off and ended up coming from 3-0 and a man down to draw and qualify.
-
Trifon Ivanov as your favourite Romanian is certainly being different
-
why not. Mexico: Cautemoc Blanco/Luis Garcia USA: Wynalda

His hits don't lie

Aurelio. (Think there was a brother too). Was a bit of a big deal in Belgium at one time - got a music piece on a Belgian season review I saw once
-
Scotland's last finals win was against Switzerland was it not? in Euro 96 Just for that this might be the first European Championship win anyone outside of Scotland and their opponent has seen given England were playing Holland and Holland playing Germany during their two wins.
-
Keown on the free-kick decision "they never ask the former players do they?" 1min earier - took him and his co-commentator a replay to figure out that the ball had hit the side netting 1min later - didn't know if the Hungary notch was offside or not despite having seen two replays
-
foul by today's standards, standards in this very tournament but felt like the defender was almost looking for the dive and free-kick soon as he got it
-
Serves them right for sitting back since the lead. Believe its delibeate whereas Albania were forced back most of the half
