I just prefer my wrong or too close to call decisions the old fashioned non-goal-celebration killing, 10minutes of checking every game, way

Classic away match radgey

more eye of the needle than eye of the tiger myself.

Finished and English?! Gareth too-boring-for-the-old-Ronseal-advert Southgate must by salivating over him.

I hope we get a significant run with everyone back this season. I just want to see what that's like. Barnes, Botman, Willock, Longstaff, Burn and Wilson mixed in with that lot today, saving each others legs for the next game. Even with the fixture congestion and efforts we put in I reckon we could do deep cup runs and CL quali but for these acursed injuries.

He's just about the main-man for me. On his worst day he'll keep plugging away, wont hide and will make things happen and create a team momentum. Rather than those that didn't give him a chance its those Everton fans I was thinking of, saying they'd robbed us of £40million. Its been another absolute steal by our recruitment folks.

Their exiciting football team thats doing great (after a win anyway) has lost the same amount of games at this stage of the season (17games) as we had in our worst ever season. And that ended up 7 defeats in 20 so could be worse yet.

Very good stuff. Different degrees of being the better team throughout. No right to be putting in shows like that with the injury crisis. Will resist the urge to ask how many times this group has made people like that wanker at Bournemouth look like the shit supporters they are shortly after.

Champions League 2023/2024: Group F (Newcastle, Milan, Dortmund, PSG)

Prefer Milan to have less to play for than us by our meeting and a casual game and win ala Dynamo Kyiv to round things off on a positive note. *also means we might get to enjoy and savour it for what it is as fans - Milan in the CL - with nothing/little to lose. -
I'd start him but with it being one game until the internationals we'll persevere with Trippier. Not slagging him off cos he's leader and his wise head is as valuable as his play I fancy, but it would be refreshing also that that change would bring changes in set pieces.

Yes that's exactly how I feel. Its boring really - knowing were growing, going places and going to be stronger with every step. its like taking a bad day at the office in your stride when you have an otherwise good life or something. It might seem a better attitude with me than it actually is cos I part think of anybody that beats us "matter of time before you're gonna get it"

Were ahead of schedule, fucking bereft with injuries and fatigue and were in the hardest possible group. We all knew the squad was going to be stretched this season before the injury criis. Was possible to get out of the group but we were the underdogs and we've held our own. Expecting to beat these away with half a team out!? Only disappointment is not getting to give it our best crack due to injury crisis - an annyoning we'll never know.

Champions League 2023/2024: Group F (Newcastle, Milan, Dortmund, PSG)

On balance it would be a pisser to wear ourselves out and get injuries for nothing in these remaining two games when there's next to no chance of qualifying. 97/98 revisited. A narrow defeat in Paris followed by a dead-rubber against Milan to follow. I'd rather qualify for the CL than get to the Europa league final, but I'd rather win the Europa league than qualify for the CL. Theoretically almost all the players will be back by then which puts a different complexion on things. Chances will still be slim so not much bothered what the outcome is now. There's virtue either way. -
Most farcical maybe best, not a chance

Its a very unSpurs like character-wise display Take this effort and character into future games. We went on a thirteen game winning steak after competing with Derby whilst down to 8men back in the day.* *and now the exact same score
-
Chelsea couldn't be any less savvy
-
ffs we cant go on like this like. Its drama but its fake drama, anything in every day life going to VAR would be drama - a whodunnit, what are they going to give etc
-
Could embolden Spurs season hanging on here and compound Chelsea's chronic goal-scoring issue
-
Cant see anything beyond a draw at max, which will do mind - keeps the dream alive and Europa in hand. Though woudln't be surprised if this group of players and staff could pull something out of the hat. Just wish we could give a fair account of ourselves with only the sort of injuries you'd reasonably expect and not a full blown crisis.
-
Shit the bed man. We needed the squad to cope and recover with the fixtures, our lads giving everything every game and give a fair accurate account of ourselve, have no squad at present. Gagging for this international break now just to take stock
-
Might be looking at it too much but you never know with this group but for a nothing goal there's a few things possibly going on in it. They've got six back as Willock collects, more than enough, but in the end its Gordon and Jo against Gabriel and the keeper. Murphy comes back, the right thing, which creates space for a run, but also Willock could have sold a few the dummy with the way he shaped to cross and they've come and left themselves open. That defending is a disgrace, embarrassing in a supposed top league.
-
I'd say so. Steve McMahon wasn't at Everton when they were good. Maybe Alan Harper.

Think match cam has sneakily used angles where none of the elements questioned on the goal look questionable, for posterity. I've heard the Arsenal version is like the zoom in on the Zapruder film.
