I suspect people are misunderstanding the question being posed here...or maybe it's me but I interpret it as players who appeared or were shite or thereabouts when they started out or at first sight and you thought 'geez this guy's got no future' and then later whether it was down to experience, change of manager, scenery or club they turned out alright and had a decent career or even ended up at an elite club.... eg: Joselu There is a thread for the reverse of above.
