  1. Even out on the ass end of Africa, the Toon Army were representing. Grown men in tears for what was achieved today. We followed you from the Entertainers to when Sir Bobby pulled us up from our boot straps, and then the dark days of Cashley, we persevered despite being thousands and thousands of miles away. How insane it is that we can connect with a people, a region, a passion and be on the opposite side of the globe. We love you Newcastle and today you showed up and made us proud. I am beside myself with joy. Thank You
  2. Absolute shit today. An example of how to fuck up months of hard work in one afternoon. Speechless really
  3. we were in second gear that entire half and Brighton were slack in there passing which helped us. We need to bring more energy second half as Brighton could come out with momentum on their side. That was school boy defending for their goal
  4. Not consistently good today but the patches during which we were on song was quite enjoyable. Tonali goal will live long in my memory. Didn't understand the changes though. Not questioning taking Bruno and Isak off but would have wanted Osula up front. Not convinced with playing without a front man to help us get back up the pitch. We just tend to sit back then and invite danger. The reshuffling of the midfield every 5 minutes thereafter was confusing to say the least
  5. Tonali really busting a gut to get us back into this
  6. great change. Never convinced by having 2 left footers in there. Hopefully Schar can pop some balls in behind to give Bournmouth something else to think about
  7. Not sure I get the Osula sub. We have no outlet in the centre forward position
  8. Longstaff, Barnes and Miggy have been dire. Ponderous and wasteful. Targets not far behind them as well. So disjointed in the final third
  9. Triple change...ffs we need our subs to bring some intensity and creativity

    Anthony Gordon

Did not seem to be up to speed today and based on the standards he sets for himself, he is probably the first to acknowledge that. Hopefully it's all fitness related which is solvable. He has lots of credit in the bank as far as I concerned. Just pray it's not anything transfer related
  11. Monster sports weekend for me, wearing my SA rugby shirt now as we going to moer the aussies in a few min, then swap for my NUFC shirt, and later on Sunday morning pulling on my Dricus Du Plessis gear. I am expecting a win from all 3, less confident about Dricus than the rest
  12. On the front foot from kickoff, press like hell and 1 up in the first 15. If we don't sit back after that I expect a comfortable 3-0 result, otherwise a tense 2-1 result
  13. yep, this is the one I recall as well. I couldn't find words to describe that performance. The fact it jumped to mind immediately says everything. No debating with myself. It was that Kennedy fucker right off the bat.

    NUFC Transfer Rumours

I hope not Duran this transfer window
  15. Regarding the crowd funding bit. According to his own statement he sourced funds from the public on the back of false statements he fabricated. Is that not fraud? and what happened to the dough he generated?
  16. Anyone recall eddymarra.com? as the name suggests was run by a guy named Eddy who was living in Australia but spent most of his life in the North East. Eddy was a bit of an abrasive character until you got to know him. Last communication I received was from his daughter informing that his health has taken a turn for the worse and I suspect that was the end of the forum too. Talking about more than 25 years ago here...
  17. I reckon I had the technical skills to have been decent. 6ft 3, with a bullet shot with either foot and excellent at long range passing. Not sure how it came about but whatever I could execute with the right foot could be done with the left with no drop in quality, although I did prefer the left foot. Was shit at heading though. alas...aptitude, girls and parties and lack of guidance meant that all I have are some good memories and regret that I never achieved anything of note. I cannot recall the exact age group, I must have been 11 or 12yrs old but I recall winning a cup final, and the opposition team had Quinton Fortune (ex ManU) in their team and he was already showing serious promise, running the show but we put our best man marker on him and got a winner late in the game.
  18. It might have been before Sorloth scored 4 which got Militao hooked on 60th min for Nacho
  19. So the top scorers in EPL and LaLiga are both Norwegian
  20. watching Villarreal v Real Madrid It's 4-4 Villarreal striker Sorloth scores all 4 and is leading scorer in LaLiga insane
  21. just fuckall going our way tonight. extremely frustrating
