Yeah - we are 11 days away from first home game of season and no announcement on ticket release, etc - usually they put each game on sale about 3 weeks in advance.

Hopefully it will a decent venue, bring the club some money in, and have some match day events. If it is say £6 a pint I'd still be going to to the mile castle or elsewhere for a few pre-games pints, but I am sure a lot of people will use it, and enjoy it.

You're probably right, I just have a bit of an "everyone is against us" outlook at the moment. In some ways we as a club (fans, players, coaching staff, owners, etc) need a bit of an us against them attitude.

I agree they will not block it, but I can't help thinking they are dragging it on just to prevent us getting an incoming player now rather than later.

What the hell is happening with this transfer? Premier league dragging their heals ratifying the deal. £30m is obviously a fair price in today's market, possibly even a bit low.

Agree with this....its going to be tougher next season, Liverpool and Chelsea will improve, villa will be a threat. Extra games in Europe may effect us. If the season pans out as described above then yes it'll be disappointing, but I Hope there isn't some sort of mass meltdown, criticism of Howe, owners, etc ...same regarding the transfer window...whatever happens its a million miles from where we were 2 years ago.

Played the bulk of the games in the championship season, suppose you could argue that is his level. Anyway good luck to the lad, played 86 games for us so I wish him well. Plus getting some dosh for him.

Regards Anthony Gordon, his confidence should be high after the England U21s win, we need to get behind the lad, seems like we could be in danger of writing the kid off - give him a chance.

Maxi is great to watch, and gets me on the edge of my seat, but also he is as frustrating as hell in terms of decision making/end product. Ultimately Howe obviously sees him a dispensable. So I for one will back his judgement, I don't have any choice in the matter anyway, just need to make sure we get as much for him as possible. As for Barnes if we sign him, lets get behind the lad and hopefully he will be a roaring success.

For me whatever happens with the Maxi situation, and whether or not Barnes is coming in, I am going to trust the people making the decisions and back those decisions. After all the people who are making the decisions know a lot more about the whys and wherefores than we ever will.

If we have to move because expansion is impossible then so be it, but for me it has to be a move to within the city...not some far flung patch of land on the outskirts....if you move the ground out of the city then you destroy a huge part of what the club is and degrade the overall match day experience for a lot of people.

If you try and book hospitality as soon as it is released you should have a decent chance - will cost you a fair bit though. Another alternative (whether people like it or not) is to book a package with ticket and hotel included.

Conspiracy or not - we've got to use this and Arsenal getting 6 homes to fuel a "F*ck you" attitude - us against everyone.

Tough opening 4 games, but next 6 pretty decent - best time to play city away and Liverpool at home. Bit of a cliche but we have to play them all home and away at some point. It is what it is. First four champions league fixtures are followed by away PL fixtures could be seen as a bad thing - but so f*cking what - its only an issue because we are in the f*cking champions league in the first place!!! HWTL.

It's 36 hours since I got back in the house after match Monday - and I'm still walking around the house singing the champions league song in that high pitched way - is that normal behaviour? Is that allowed? Is that wrong? P.S. I am 52 years old.

When the premier fixtures came out last summer - I looked to the last game and thought "hope we don't go to Chelsea last game and need something to stay up" (natural pessimism from somebody who's supported the team for 45 years).....2 weeks ago I was thinking "hope we don't go to Chelsea last game still needing something to get into the CHAMPIONS LEAGUE!" - Holy feck, what a season.
