Forest finished 17th last season and haven’t added any real quality to the team. We shouldn’t fear going there, at all.
-
I don’t agree with the view that everyone else will score goals so Miggy/Murphy can be carried. Also worth pointing out that just because we scored a lot last season it doesn’t mean it will be repeated this year, just like our solid defence didn’t carry over in to last season.

A good chance Chelsea pull comfortably away from us if they get Toney and he stays fit.

I don’t think the fee will weigh on his mind, he comes across as top level headed for that to be a factor. The unusual thing with this transfer is that we have always looked for opportunities in the market with players that we can exploit, yet arguably we are the ones being exploited here, by paying over the odds based on his performance at the Euros. He is going to have to put in some worldie performances to maintain that value.

Timed out could mean that Palace won’t sell as they won’t have the time to spend the money on improving their side, add that to the bad start and they might see keeping him as their best hope of avoiding relegation.

Burn would start ahead of Hall when everyone is fit.

The championship has been gutted of talent recently so we will have to wait for it to restock.

I think there was a belief that something wasn’t right but with the club putting on a happy front, it was quite a long time ago. I get a similar feeling now, I don’t think we would bring in someone Howe didn’t want though and instead the stand off is more likely to us missing out on targets instead. Like I’ve said elsewhere, if we don’t get Europe then Howe will be sacked, maybe that is the long game.

No, from what I have seen of him, I was at the game yesterday and went to about half a dozen Bournemouth away games last season. Neto isn’t bad with the ball at his feet, he isn’t at the level of an Alison or anything but he is a couple of levels above Pope, who is awful playing it out from the back and panics in possession. There isn’t much between Pope and Neto in terms of shit stopping. However, Neto’s other attributes are better than Pope’s.
-
I agree with him. I remember in the build up to Keegan walking out under Ashley that there was a similar feeling to how things are now.

Howe will be sacked if we don’t make Europe.
-
He really is, his shot stopping is high level and his distribution is a couple of levels above Pope too. Plus, he isn’t as flappy as Pope.
-
Neto is better than Pope.

Show me definitively where the ball made contact with the player then. Again, VAR is for clear and obvious errors.
-
Final week scattergun approach.
-
VAR should not be ruling goals out on benefit of the doubt.
-
Clearly it doesn’t hit his arm with that much power or force. No point in having a dogawful officiating thread if people cannot put their own bias to the side when judging an incident.
-
It clearly isn’t, which is why you drew it at the bottom to try and add weight to your point.
-
The ball doesn’t make contact with the player where the red line is though. A ball is spherical, not flat, so any line drawn should be through the centre of the ball and not the edge.
-
I don’t see it that way and I haven’t seen a still photo pinpointing the exact part of his arm that it hits which makes it a handball. It could have come off anywhere from the top of the shoulder to mid bicep. However, it isn’t conclusive which part it did hit.
-
I didn’t think it was a sending off, it was a blatant obstruction attempt and it looked clumsy but a red would have been harsh. The handball I thought was inconclusive from the footage so it should have gone with the on field decision and been given as a goal.

You would think he would have changed his mind about the obligation to buy being a must after we were forced to pay a good wedge for Lewis Hall.
