  1. A bit late in the window for that tbh. If he doesn't improve, then maybe in january.

    Harvey Barnes

Yeah that's fair, hard to tell yet. Atleast we know he can be a threat if a game opens up. I'm also a bit uncertain about this, because I'm also still more convinced about Joelinton at left wing rather than CM (I said that at the end of last season aswell). Good to have options, but wish there was more competition on the right side. The obvious solution would be to try Gordon on the right, but maybe he's not as good there. I think Gordon is better suited for the right side than Barnes or Joelinton however.

If it's easy, why is it often him and not the other players?

    Harvey Barnes

To be fair to him he's very good at getting into these situations where he finds himself through the defence with the ball. He quick and makes some good runs. In just 90 minutes, hes had 3 or 4 of these chances. Probably more than any other player in our team the first 3 games.
  5. Didn't see what happened, just saw him limping off. I feared it was an ACL. Glad to hear it was the ankle, and not the knee.

    Harvey Barnes

He looks really insecure when he's through the defence. Did have a very instinctive goal against Villa when we were 3 or 4 up, but other times he looks too hesitant. Need a bit more determination in those moments. Will probably be better with time.
  7. Botman injury is the worst possible injury for us right now, maybe except from Pope. Even the fact that he is a LCB instead of RCB is another thing that makes it even worse. Ciaran Clark is available for free.
  8. Yes, but that was also partly due to lack of options. That's another reason why we looked poor when he was out. Not completely sold on Joelinton at CM with where we are at right now. I hope Willock will come back strong, I have a lot of faith in him.
  9. Liverpool last season at Anfield. Edit: already mentioned
  10. We're a bit predictable in the way we play atm, and Howe seems to be putting out the same players while also making the same subs again. We can't do this for a long time regardless, there needs to be rotation at some point due to added games. One thing we need to remember is that during our bad run of form this winter we were seeing and complaining about similar things. We looked predictable and were playing the same players with the same tactics and subs. However Howe acknowledged this and changed things up, and it worked brilliantly. Just when I started to doubt that he could adapt to being figured out, we went on a fantastic streak again. I'm sure Howe will spend a lot of time analyzing this game to figure out how him and the players can learn from this. He's no Steve Bruce who will solely blame any defeat on being unlucky.
  11. Man United bounced back from losing 7-0 to these, so atleast there's some hope.

    Dan Burn

He was doing great at CB when we first signed him. We used Targett as LB back then, remember? We were a completely different team with a different playstyle at that time however, so difficult to tell if he's good enough there now.
  13. It's frustrating, because he often looks dangerous, but he does so many strange things. Like poor passes or decision making.
  14. This reminds me of Arsenal when they lost their leads towards the end of last season trying to play it safe..
  15. I feel like Tonali and Bruno are the only players (except defenders) who are actually good at passing. We saw that last season aswell, our pass % was pretty low compared to many teams. Probably partly because of our direct style though to be fair. Don't want to start blaming individuals too much, but players like big Joe, Longstaff and Almiron are not exactly playmakers.
  16. Brilliant tactic by Klopp, acknowledging that getting a red card against us is actually beneficial.
  17. Feel like we were too scared to take risks this half. Just need to kill the game, as I said earlier they are damn clinical when they get a chance to score. They are without Konate and van Dijk man..
  18. Just go for it Barnes. So indecisive..
  19. We're back to the woodwork hitting. Can we beat the 25 from last season?
  20. Remember the Everton game last year when we lost after they went down to 10 men at 0-0?
  21. I've never understood the crowd screaming "shoot" Seems like Liverpools plan is to defend and then get at us towards the end.
  22. Norwegian commentator said that Miggy has one of the best left legs in the industry
  23. Good half, but we need to kill the game. They are very clinical when they get the chance to score. They are a man down, but they still have great players out there.
  24. Lewis Hall looked miserable in the stands. No smile at all. Worrying.
  25. Defending would be easy if that is not a red like.. Just kick them down when they are passing you to be 1 on 1 and take the yellow.
